Really nice looking 8!
Thanks Bryan, that's the Garden Knife.I just flattened the sides, rounded the edges & stained it.

very cool myke, from mora to opinel i'm enjoying the cheap treats between JK feasts myself as well :)

You're replaces the entire wood part of the handle there a time or two, think that maybe beyond my current skills, any in progress pictures for us (me!) to drool over? :)
I tried to do a total handle replacement in antler once & ended up breaking the antler at the pivot when I was peening the pin.:o

well done mykel. looks a lot better. I usually give opines as gifts to all my not knife friends as a way to lure them in :)
Thank you sir.;)

Saw a story on the news yesterday about the gun ranges here in Illinois. It said it`s like trying to get into a good restaurant, minimum one hour wait, with trainers reserving lanes in advance.

SHOULD HAVE FEATURED AN iMPROVED mODIFIED bOWIE!:)
Wait! Million dollar idea #5987 -- JK KNIFE TRADING CARDS!
Packaged with that real hard bubble gum of course...or BACON

Lost my job on Monday, my heads still spinning a bit with what to do next. Hopefully I will be able to return to school, finish my degree, and live off of student loans for the next 6-10 months. Scary times for us with 2 babies, and a 5 year old.

hate to hear that Bryan, sorry for it to!

Sounds like a plan though,

What's the degree out of interest?

Environmental Engineering/management. It can be interesting when it's class discussion time, I don't fit the norm in there ;)

I appreciate it guys! Honestly, it's a blessing. I've been unhappy and taken advantage of for some time now. Onward and upward!

Sorry to hear this Bryan. I'm sure things will work out for you in the long run; sometimes things happen, and they seem bad at first, but end up being a blessing in the end. Good luck to you!

Bryan, I know only too well what you are going through. Several years ago my wife lost her job due to downsizing then a month later the plant I worked at laid-off everyone and moved production to China. For most of 2010 we lived off of unemployment checks and the occasional odd job. We both ended up with better jobs and after returning to work caught ourselves talking about how nice it was having the extra time together. Never give up hope and always believe that things happen for a reason.

Sorry to hear about your job loss...that really sucks but can lead to better things in the future. What type of Environmental Engineering do you do? Like LEED & Commissioning or energy optimization type stuff?

We have two groups at our firm that do this but not sure if you're in the same arena.
