The "Whatever" Thread

hey fellas,

okay so it's coming time to let some that aren't trading and I don't have room for up for sale, but, out of interest, should I put new scales on the Wenger OH in this picture? would that hurt, help or not effect it in terms of value?

p.s is has a pocket clip on the other side fyi and keep in mind THIS post where I performed the same surgery on a similar Wenger, I didn't make perfect scales this way, in other words, but they hold up, that one's working out very well in terms of using it.

I would say if you are going to keep it, def. do a mod. If you are going to sell it, you may want to leave it as original.

That being said, I've seen your mod work...it's quite good. I say trust yourself and your skills, and maybe do the mod and sell it or trade it.

thanks, Glenn, I'll think on it a while longer first

Hey all, send some smoke for Bennie Boy if you would please.
He is somewhere around 15 years old & we fear his kidneys are failing.(Common in old cats)
Vet yesterday morning,test results tomorrow...
Thanks,
Myke

Condolences Mykel - I suspect I'll be taking my Charlie Dog for his last walk this week.

Sorry guys. We just lost our 3 year old cat to sudden heart failure, my poor animal lover wife had to take her to be put down because I was stuck at work. Got to run home to say goodbye, at least :( But the wife and other cats are still upset.

Prayers sent for Bennie Boy. Our oldest dog, Molly, turned 15, and is not doing too well either.

So sorry, people who don`t have pets just don`t realize they are like family. I`ve had to do that myself, it never gets any easier.

Our thoughts are with you all, I don't know what we'll do when we lose a pet.

We have had the same line of cats in our family for going on 5 years, all from a stay who turned up at our door one night. They have always returned the favor with friendship and an ability to keep the country mice and snakes away from the house. They are however, more difficult to photography then our dog as they seem to shy away from the camera, they do however all love our dog, Lucy.

This is calico kitten, daughter of Calico, and niece of Strippers and blackie (my son names them.)

Lucy again.

Good luck Mykel - prayers coming for Bennie Boy -

best

Thanks guys.
What sucks besides Bennie being sick is my room mate had to leave for Utah Saturday so I'll be handling the putdown of Bennie if necessary.(he's mostly a momma's boy)
It do help to have another pet to ease the pain.
We had to put Roddy Cat down back in 2010 due to kidney failure & adopted Bennie & Cloe soon after..it do help.

Vic & John...smoke's up for Charlie & Molly, they really are family & all we can do is spoil the hell out of them while they're here.

Thanks for the smoke & prayers guys,I'll know more when I get home this afternoon.

Aw man, it stinks to hear about all these animals getting close to the end. Our last 2 cats had to be put down. They had issues, but otherwise seemed still wanted to live, their bodies just didn't want to cooperate. Broke my heart, as I had to take both of them down to the vet. This was years ago, and haven't had pets since...

Okay,it's Bennie's Thyroid not his Kidneys.
Treatable with pills..yippie.
Thanks for all the good thoughts guys.
Now to figure out how to get a pill down his gullet without bodily harm to myself.

It really does help to adopt another pet soon after the loss, plus it gives another a chance at a better life.

Good for Bennie! I don't have any first hand experience getting a cat to swallow a pill... is that even possible?

Maybe you could shove it in a sardine or something.
