The "Whatever" Thread

it got a late start this year which was good. We had a earthquake so the no snow made repairs pretty simple.

Had my passenger side brake face stripped off this morning coming into town. Other pad still had about half its life left in It. Glad it didn't happen when I was on the highway, but it did a lil damage to the rotor so gotta replace that to.

Congrates John, yes time flies by when you are having fun;). It is wonderful that you were blessed by finding someone that helps comfort you along the path of life.

That's odd.Must a gotten something between the pad and rotor?
Or you're like me and have a lead foot.
Married 31 years today, to the perfect wife. Time flies by too fast.

Yeah that's probably what happened. I live in a major oil field town and there is all kinds of crap on the roads to dodge, and get stuck in odd places while driving.

I want to say thank you to John and to each member here who made the Christmas gift exchange a success.

I'm not going to say who but I received a wonderful gift from one of you in the true spirit of Christmas. It was a great gift that I appreciate and will use but more importantly I am thankful for the friendship and thoughtfulness the gift showed. I consider each of you a friend even though we may never meet face to face. Best wishes from my family and I to each of you and all those around you. I hope the holidays are everything you want and a little bit more. As we enjoy the many things associated with the holiday it's good to slow down for a moment and remember the true reason for this occasion. Merry Christmas and may God bless us every one!

Merry Christmas.......my wife says we're running too much but I say we're making the most of the holiday by seeing so many friends and family members. The only thing my son is talking about this morning is his Elf not being on the shelf but riding a zip line across the living room. It turned out okay but the cat decided to make me work under pressure. I had everything in place and was drinking coffee when I heard this unusual noise. I looked and the cat had jumped up on the arm of the couch and chewed through the main zip line. I got everything back together with minutes to spare.

I had a custom rod made for my wife as a Christmas gift along with a new reel. With today being sunny and in the 50's we rode to the lake so she could get a feel for how it cast. On the way there she said she had left her fishing license on her dresser. We were surprised to be the only ones in the parking lot at the lake. We tied on lures and started casting hoping the sunshine would have the shiners moving and the trout feeding. Within 5 minutes we heard a car coming down the hill. I turned to look and sure enough it was a game warden. He stopped, asked if we were catching anything, then said he was checking licences. I walked over and handed mine to him. My wife just stood there till he asked her for her license. She told him she had left it at home and handed him her driver's license. He called her driver's license number in to confirm she had a fishing license. He didn't give her a ticket but was one of the least friendly wardens I've ever talked to. Maybe he didn't like me joking with our son that the warden was going to take mommy to jail.
