The Wonderous Whittler

Is there a poor knife in this thread?? If so, I haven't seen it, great examples

Mike Be sure to show those new Whittler arrivals of yours, always interested in them.

Brian The Northwoods is a fine version, hoping GEC will do some more 38 single-springs with Clip or Spear master. I would've liked the Northwoods but I don't go for blue as a handle colour really, would like to see Camel bone in an Apaloossa finish-if it's possible to dye it in that fashion?

The Half-Whittler is a useful style and I'd like to see more of them from CASE, GEC and I don't think Queen has done a version or?

Jeff this is the mother of all whittles !! Stunning knife

Here is the first one of three I am waiting for. Obviously it's Kissing Crane, but it has the logo of 2 cranes only on the secondaries.
Main blade is stamped on the mark side J.Nielsen and sons cutlery co. Cleve. Ohio, and on the pile side, stainless, made in Solingen Germany. The main blade etch George Washington 1777 Valley Forge 1 of 1200, and there is a serial number on the bolster. Anyway it is fine knife the shape is very interesting reminding gunstock. It has 2 springs side by side with no devider. The secondary blade on the mark side is rubbing the main blade which is a shame but not deal breaker
Any info on this knife will be great

After giving up the hope that I would ever own another one of these, I walked into the SMKW this morning and the bottom three in the photo were sitting on the shelf. Could not believe it! My wallet has been burning all the way home.

WOW.

What a score that was!

I don't think I would have bought all three, but later I would've wish I had.

I have one in Ebony like the second one from the top. The best knife I have ever owned.

I got TWO whittlers in the last couple days.

The GEC Maverick is actually a stockman pattern on a congress frame. A rather unique pattern that never really took off, which I think is a bit of a shame as it's a very elegant utilitarian pocket knife. This congress frame was used initially to make the Courthouse Whittler with a traditional wharncliffe main on two springs and pen and coping on individual ones using the modern version of split spring design. - it's not the best image of the springs but it's the only one I have of mine...

Another whittler that I got sometimes ago, this time Right'n Roosters lockback whittler. This is a grail pattern for me, but purchasing one of those incredible Case-Bose colab LB whittles is too expensive. I found this one reasonably priced, measure 3 7/8" closed, a tad larger than I am used to but it has slim profile which make it comfortable to carry in front pocket. The stag as in most German knives is premium, this is limited production to 500 knives.
