There's just something about the 940....

I just love the 940. The Osborne reverse tanto blade is my most favorite blade shape ever and the 940 just does everything right for me with respect to size, weight, and looks. Today I acquired one of the variations I've been seeking for a while so I wanted to share a few photos of my collection.

Very very nice collection! I totally agree on the 940. Great knife. Traded my Old 940 ti a year ago. Kind of regret that. A good friend is enjoying it so thats a good thing 😃👍

Thanks for posting the pics!

Sweet collection! I just moved the 940 back into my rotation again a couple of days back. Loving it! Envious of all that variety you've got.

Beautiful collection you have there.
I have a 940 and it's an ideal and often carried EDC folder for me. I want a 940-1 real bad too, just struggling to justify the price...

A very nice collection you have there. I had no idea BM had made so many variations. I'm a recent convert to the 940, having pretty much completely ignored it for years. I finally got hold of a like new 940 a month or so ago to see what all the fuss was about and it has now pretty much displaced my Sage 1 as my suit knife, with the Spydie now doing business-casual duty. The slim profile, and ultra light weight are perfect for dress slacks. And the reverse tanto and green scales seem to be even less threatening to some office sheeple.

Very nice collection!!! I just click "buy" on my first 940. 940-1 carbon fiber, actually. I have 3 other Benchmades and the one I carry at work now is a 470 Emissary (corporate office). I hope I made the right decision and people aren't intimidated by it.

The 940-1 has knocked a lot of knives out my my pocket since I bought it a few months ago! It is almost the perfect mid size knife

A local knife shop owner had a 940DM in his personal collection (not for sale) and he let me fondle it for a few minutes - Dimascus Handle - much heavier that the other 940's - after that I started researching how many different models they offered over the years - there are a bunch.

The 940DM is my grail. There's only 100 of them. I've never seen one for sale. I can't imagine what they would even sell for these days. I'm jealous you got to handle one.

There have been quite a few variations over the last 14 or so years. It has been fun searching for some of the limited editions that I have. They certainly don't come up for sale very often -- I only have 4 that are limited editions.

I agree. The 940-1 is very special -- S90V steel and carbon fiber handles. It weighs nothing, the blade stays sharp forever, and the carbon fiber really holds up to use (and looks badass).

Thanks. Yours look pretty good also. I will try to find some greens and blues, as well as, some more Ti's.
