This is called "venom"

Thats not even close to the Spyderco Ulize, except the spyder hole and a recurce. Its a liner lock, the ulize has the lock on the spine. Spyderco has g10 scales on both sides, the liner is the back side on the Kevin. The ulize has a large curve to the handle. I do not promote copycat knives, and would never buy one. But seriously lets not let ones dislike stop you from using reason, and ability to see what is reality.

I believe he was talking about the blade itself.

Which is still not very close.

Even though this one isn't a direct copy this same "Kevin" factory makes plenty that are. ZT, Sebenza, Hinderer, etc...
I wouldn't support a company like this, but I'm sure many will.

The knife does look pretty good, and I'm sure they get ebay sales from threads like this.

There is so much wrong with this one.

Read my first post. I meant just the blade, ....which is why I took the time to say the handle was different.

The venom reminds me quite largely of the Spyderco Southard, does anyone else agree?

It looks exactly like a Jens Anso Nemo, but has a Mikkel Willumsen pattern G-10 scale and it's not a FFG like most Nemo's are. And the grooves on the frame lock set it apart.
Other than those few little differences.. it looks like a fake Jens Anso Nemo.

The knife has a good design, but the design looks like a Jens Anso copy, and has copied things, like the Mikkel patterned G-10.

I'm just curious as to the workmanship of this blade (not something I would buy). Does it hold an edge? Hows the fit and finish?

Hey guys this is surely a copy of Mikkel Willumsen's model Camp W-23 !

Maddogg - The blade and handle looked a lot alike.
Minus some finger grooves and other little things.

aadhtbb figured out the exact model it was copied off of though. =]

It did have an Anso/Willumsen look though. It's now a fact that it's a Mikkel Willumsen fake.

This is strange, because when I search Mikkel Willumsen Camp W-23, this is what I see in the results:

I am curious, are American patents and copyrights international? I was under the impression they only protect our products on American soil. BTW I like the handle in the second knife, but not the blade. Looks like a benchmade to me thiugh

Of course they are.

The problem is enforcing your patent overseas, in a foreign court and getting the cooperation of foreign law enforcement and the banks.

Microsoft spends millions a year in China and can't stop IP theft. What do you expect small time businesses to be able to accomplish?

So then, either Spyderco ripped off Mikkel, or Mikkel ripped off Spyderco, and Kevin ripped them both. Right? Y'all get so testy about people copying other peoples stuff. So many large knife companies copy each other anyway, but no one seems to care as long as they are American companies. Real collectors would never buy the cheap junk anyway. This is the kind of thing kids buy at the local gun and knife show cuz they look cool and are 12 dollars.

ITT: some knife enthusiasts, but mostly racist elitist people.

Why do you think most In This Thread are racist elitist ?

You need to stop with the name calling before you get an infraction, and no one here has been racist.

I'm not saying the knife is a counterfeit of anything but I would like clarification from moderators on how someone can come on here a stealthfully promote knives/companies/makers that they almost assuredly work for and not be required to pay for the requisite membership.
