Looks nice. I like. With that being said:

Maybe Microtech should rip it off. That'd show em.

The button is a lock release...for a frame lock. And that slider is a lock for the button. Interesting, but may be slightly redundant.

[Edit]
I guess I can see the payoff with this mechanism: strength of a frame lock combined with the safety of a button lock (fingers not in the way upon closing).
One downside I see is the closed shape is very wide in order to accommodate this mechanism.

I was thinking the same thing, poetic justice for a US maker to exactly copy this including the branding.

We've seen this knife before, the maker himself posted here about a month ago with lots of eye candy.

It looks like a very well executed knife with clever detail on the locking mechanism, the quality looks high, overall very promising.

Looks sweet I have big hands that would luv to handle that knife. It looks like Zt and Miller bros blade combined. The video showed some nice grips for hand placement. Very interesting indeed thx for sharing.

This lock system was popularized by the Vogons, who need everything in triplicate.

That's the way to to do it! Way to go mods, combining all his threads into one seems more appropriate. I for one really like these designs being produced and can't find any way these could be copies or counterfeits, maybe this is a Chinese "copy" company branching out into a real genuine knife company? I think it would be really cool to see an original high end production knife company from China.

Sanrenmu has the market as far as I can see, and alot of original designs and acceptance for them. Maybe Kevin John is starting to stand on his own two feet in the design industry? That would be a welcome change.

waterbeef, don't you get it by now??? We're not interested in your cheap chinese garbage pail knives!!! :barf: Take the spam somewhere else!!!

Those (original design!) Carsons don't look like "cheap crap" to me.

Are they actually cheap? How much do they cost? I'm interested.

you will be very isolated if you continue with what you are doing now

You really think so??? I'm just saying what SO many people here are thinking (including some mods). Almost every one of your posts are thinly-veiled SPAM! :grumpy: You're only going to get away with this for so long before you're banned. I've been here for 9 YEARS! You don't look like you are going to even last 9 weeks. Why don't you put up yet another spam post of some junky chinese "original" knife and we'll see who "will be very isolated"... :foot:

:thumbdn:

Listen up folks.

Waterbeef is welcome to show knives here, same as everyone else, within certain parameters and guidelines (IE:the rules).

The threads were consolidated because we are not going to have a 1/2 dozen of them going at once. It seems that was where things were headed.

The trolling in this thread will stop. If you are not here to discuss the Topic.... Move along to another thread that you do like.

That tri-folder is certainly a good looking knife. I'm not sure I'd be able to get it into New Zealand, apparently folders over 100mm blade length require an exemption to get past the border.

here it comes

A chinese style big folder

Interesting design :D reminds me of a few folding bowie designs I've seen over the years I like how this one integrates the finger choil into the folding aspect, and an old fashioned swing guard to make it lower profile while carrying, good design detail.
