This just in ~ from España • The Navajas of ArtesaniaHerreros

You should go for it, Ray. You, me and Jack (possibly others, Jose' said he has 22 orders pending) can all receive the Spanish springtime glory together!

And yes, the navajas all look good around here. Your photos are what first hooked me :)
It's great to be a part of this newfound maker's success. Thanks BF! And thanks Jose'

The Moki is exquisite. Just first rate. Easily one of my best knives.
The crispness is what strikes me. The snap, the grind lines, the super high luster polish on the VG-10, perfectly centered blade.... Man it's just knife-nut heaven

I am going for it. ORDER placed!

We are competing with the wedding crowd. Apparently Spanish Brides consider José's knives a 1st class gift. I appreciate their good taste. Grooms and likely groomsman, are getting some spectacular BLING.

MOKI - A quote from RayseM - "The finest production folder I have ever handled!" The fit and finish are as good as it gets. Easily competes with the Shriogorovs and Rockstead I have owned.

Alas - this is a thread about knives from ArtesaniaHerreros ArtesaniaHerreros (Sorry, I started it o_O :))

All right! Glad you placed the order
So cool to be a groomsman in Spain this wedding season, me thinks...
I gonna tell my buddys that they should get hitched in Spain ;)

I almost got hitched in Spain. I loved her - a strawberry blonde Sophia Loren - oh my (but 30 + years younger) and was quite smitten by Spain too. Her father however, was not keen on his princess going off with an American :( Talk about a cultural barrier. Grandmother liked me though.

ALL GOOD - in the long run. I have no regrets whatsoever. Was looking at and reading about José's, Albacete on the google today. It would be a lovely place to visit, especially now that I have a friend there. Not on the short list of travels though. Still, who knows...

Interesting...
Thanks for sharing your "Tales from a knife-nut youth."
You broke her heart, no doubt. But if her dad didn't approve it was likely doomed. He would probably have slit your throat in your sleep or something. I hear they all carry multiple navaja. The first being gifted by their father when they were young :)

Me? Well I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music.
They say the ladies are insane there, and they sure know how to use it.
Sounds like you learned first-hand :)

Ahh, the romance of the Latin culture. Perhaps we'll get to Albacete one day
Until then we have our navaja from a kind and talented artisan, Jose' Antonio Herreros.

True that, Spain is full of crazy ladies here and there, we have a really complicated temper I guess, sometimes our heart blinds our minds :P.

Muchísimas gracias a todos amigos míos, os deseo un buen fin de semana

José

...Ah... the combined slip joint folding knife. I love that one too. Muy hermosa.
Si, muy hermosa, indeed.

Jose' "The ladies are insane there" is taken from an American song. Maybe you're familiar.
But from what you say, sounds like it's really true! :p
Have a good weekend yourself, kind sir. Happy forging, grinding and polishing!

Buenos días amigos míos,

As you know many (if not everyone involved on this thread) own one of my folding knives, which is a great honor and make me full of proud when I think about it, making them to you was a special moment for me since I knew they were for you, on the other side of the world, people who trusted my skills and placed a bet on me, the slow but steady horse, I really appreciate that guys and I can't find the words to show it properly (at least in English).

Anyway, we are men, we are tought and we do not speak about feelings but I just wanted you to know that.

I would like to ask you for a special request, I am an e-donkey, techies and computers are not my thing, I prefer my forge and hammer, however my son is pushing me hard to keep updating my facebook and instagram, but I ran out of content! that's why I would like to ask you, could you please share with me again the photos of your folders? I know they are here and there but since I barely know how to manage BF I will miss many of them (it is true, sometimes I end in "buck knives" threads and I don't know what I did)

Thanks a lot in advance amigos, pasad muy buena semana,

José

OK - but just so you know - I too - do not use FB or instagram. Of course I'm not trying to sell knives world wide ...;)

Anyway - I will email you some photos. Use them as you like. Happy to do it.

I don't use Facebook or Instagram, but I can send the pics via a private message, unless you prefer e-mail. Just need to know which: the one posted on your website or another one?

Thank you Vince. I will be happy to send José pics but like you I am not on facebook or instagram. When he answers your e-mail question I will send them according to his answer.
I sent them to him via PM, but will resend via e-mail if he requests. I think it's late at night in Spain, and I might not hear from him today.

Yes, beautiful Dwight
I know Jose' is currently using one of Ray's on his website, which is fantastic!
My photography is not at all in the same league, but here's one.
I'm not on Facebook either. Funny how we're all not. I get pressured by family to join, but just not feeling secure about the whole thing.

That's a beautiful knife Pinemoon. Thank you.

All good looking to me.
Thanks Ray. That is my favorite of your pics of that beauty too!
