Can someone suggest a drop loop attachment that works for the DEK1 standard kydex sheath? Tek lok just puts knife too high at right hand owb hip position .

I’ve been a fan of the Sagewood Gear drop loop adapters and have a few of them on both kydex and leather sheaths that have holes for mounting.

I don't have one set up on my DEKs, just the HDFK and FK2.

Measure the distance between the two screws (eye holes) on your DEK sheath and then choose the appropriate option for that size range.

What size drop loop fits the Dek?

Center to center hole distance on one of my DEK1 is 2 3/16", so both small and medium fit. Might want to double check and measure your sheath.

Small Adapter - 1.75" to 2.25" (45mm to 57mm)
Medium Adapter - 2.06" to 2.56" (52mm to 65mm)

Another question, sharpened the DEK1 (MC) for the first time on the edge pro and found the factory edge to be a tad over 20 dps . The grind measured 3.8 degrees and ended up at 22.8 degrees on the table . So about 20.9 total .

Does that sound right ? I usually run my knives closer to 18 dps . Do others reprofile? What’s your preferred sharpening angle ?

I go to the CPK encyclopedia at the top of the CPK forum and look up the model in question to get factory angle.
Set up my WE to match.
Lay the stone against blade edge to make sure it’s “close enough” and sharpen.
I’m not overly concerned with perfection.
I used to sharpie the edge and make small adjustments. Too time consuming for me. Now I just set it up close and go.

Hopefully the burgundy will be a nice pairing

I like the micarta way more than the g10. Just feels nicer in hand
