  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This must be where the DEKs hang out, eh?

Amassing a small collection of Magnacut pieces I see... 😁

The one on the far right is a swedged DEK2. I originally tried (and failed) to take some decent photos to compare these "heavy duty" knives, as it was quite evident to me that there was a lot of thought/planning that went into the eventual execution of the swedge on this DEK model. Despite a bit of material taken off part of the spine, the areas where material was removed was... very intentional. For us average joes, I am not sure we'll encounter a situation where we'll be able to see a swedge model fail where the non-swedged model won't, at least short of "intentionally breaking it". I originally thought it was interesting to read that Lorien, who was originally against the swedge being offered on the DEK2 eventually changed his mind about it lol.

I'll see about trying to take the photos in better lighting sometime.

Keen to see this comparison but there is nothing attached friend! Please add it in 😁

I dig the blue canvas. Low light here doesn’t do it justice.

Ohhh I thought you tried to upload further images on that post quoted. I just realized you were speaking about a previous image. My bad! And thanks for that. It seems the swedged Dek2 still has a very stout tip. Reminds me of a Hinderer spanto
