  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

This must be where the DEKs hang out, eh?

I have been carrying my 2 for the last few months everyday since I got it, I pair it with a folder or smaller fixed blade in the pocket. I carried the 1 for a long time before I got the 2 but I don’t think of anything that the 2 couldn’t handle.

Danger Will Robinson! Danger!
Thanks for context on that thread with customer not liking the engraving . I didn’t know and wasn’t insinuating it didn’t look right . Actually like the thinner engraving on the dek2- Loren’s logo looks amazing - and was just curious if there was a switch between runs or models . Both look nice . The fit and finish of these knives blow me away which is why I keep adding them to the stable

I don't think anyone took it as you being negative. It's just a running joke around here.

Anyone ever try cutting a bolt or screw with your dek1?

I tried cutting a small screw tonight because I couldn't find my rebar pliers. I don't recommend it.
Will post pics later.

I'd consider possibly(?) trying out CPK Fireman's Breaching Tool but not a DEK1.

I have a Behemoth Chopper that I used last year to clear some low growing brushy overgrowth at near ground level but I found it was hard on the blade. In the past I had always used a billhook type tool. This year I went back to clear this area again and used just the billhook which is the right tool for the job. Moving forward I'm going to try and keep my chopper away from any possible dirt/stone/rock strikes and keep it working on clean wood.
