This Years Holiday Tins

The display I found was very small, Looks like it held only eight 112 tins on top and 6 of the other sets on the bottom. I don't know what the stock amounts are from store to store but last year the 110's were stacked up fairly deep probably between 25 and 30 when I first bought mine and 2 of the 112's were already gone from this display, so pickens may be slim on the 112 at some locations (Just speculating here, I don't really know). BTW the tips are stuck into the backing making the tips look broken but mine pulled out of it with tip intact so no worries there. My names Bob and I am addicted to Bucks.

Welcome Bob S., always room for 1 more in the Buck Forum. I noticed the same thing today with the blade tips, it was just the black from the packaging inside the tins. About every fourth knife was like that.

I found the same thing. Small display (8 112s with the slippies toward the bottom) and tips pushed into the plastic felt stuff. Bought one of the Rangers, good lockup, put it horizontal on the belt...I like the sheath this year.

Meanwhile, Joe has gone into cardiac arrest and his ulcer is acute following your original observation that the tips were broken...

...But no problem; that's what Nitro and Pepto-Bismol are for... :D

...Well "Mr.WW" finally stocked his stores in this area. I picked up a few of the "tinned" 112's today and I gotta say I am kine impressed. The knife that I opened up was tight and solid and sharp as we've come to expect from Buck. I do like this "tin" much better than last year's...and there's no comparison between the sheaths from last year to that of today. All in all it's a fine knife and a great deal on a 112 from Buck... ...The store manager did say that they were not going to get any more and that when these that they had were gone ...that was gonna be it...seems a little early to me to say they weren't getting more...:grumpy:

The lady in Sporting Goods at my local WW said the same thing, makes me wanna grab 1 more!

Still no tins here, they said it would be thanksgiving before they were out.
I told them they were for sale in other states and they said it was the regional managers decision to put them out :(
I guess I will continue to wait...

...I got three (3 ) of 'em...That's two more than my wife said she would "allow" me to have...LOL...I shouldn't be laffin' as I saw her reading the "Lorena Bobbit Story" after I got home with 'em...  ...One I was just gonna put away, one I was gonna send for a blade upgrade if they ever find any S30V 112 blades layin' around..and the last one I was gonna use in my EDC rotation. Looks like I may have to make a dash back tomorrow and maybe pick up one or two more if I want to give my sons-in-law another neat Christmas gift...Just seems way too early for WW to say they won't be getting more of an item if it's selling as well as these appear to be selling...

I went to a Walmart on the other side of town tonight, none out on display. May be a different district from the opposite side of town. My youngest son did buy a CVA Buckhorn .50cal inline w/ 209 ignition...$99, I remember paying almost $70 years ago to upgrade my Knight to a 209.
DarrylS, Lorena threw that wanker in the ditch in front of my buddy's house:barf: . Lotta uptight guys in this town for quite awhile after that:eek: DarrylS, Did you say to start sending 112s in for a S30V upgrade:rolleyes:

...That's very wishful thinking on my part Scott. A few years back Joe was able to wrangle some BG-42 112 blades out of the Big Kahoona's at Buck. I'm hoping that we might be able to see that happen again one day for all of us in the forum now. That's interesting that you use the #209 for black powder ignition nowadays. I used thousands upon thousands of the 209's in my old MEC in my trap and skeet shooting days. Actually I think they were 209 Max Fires...They were a bit bigger in dia. and burned a lot hotter at ignition...Oh well I forget a lot these days...LOL...In any case I hope we get back to being able to get some nice upgrades for the 110's as well as the 112's...:)

Of course, the irony will be if she uses a Buck knife! :D

 ...Yes TLC...Ironic and an extreemly painful exclamation point to an already "painful" last week or so...LOL...  :p

you guys are killing me !!
good thing i have a extra long cord on the key board ....
ah ...twxt message to her !!!
"honey could you come in here ?'

The holiday tin program for Wal Mart that you are all refering to is just that, every Wal Mart store places them in their stores at their managers descretion, I know they like to get them out at least by Turkey day, the comments you are hearing about once they are gone they are gone are true, we only made so many and there will not be anymore made so get them quick, the stamp was special for Wal Mart and the sheath was upgraded from last year based on all the feedback we received on blade forums, see we do listen. Happy hunting

The Wally's out here, if ya need a boat load of cup-o-noodles, well you're in luck. A Buck = no luck.

Am watching the bay where they seem to be popping up.

BTW Phil D., thanks for the post :)
