Thoughts about nutnfancy and cutlerly lover

I have seen alot of nutnfancy's stuff. He is ok for explaining features and what not but his opinion is not always mine nore is anyones.

I read the title and deleted it from my sub box. If it's about what I think it's about I don't want to hear any of it.

I clicked it, paused it, read the description, and unsubbed.

He's not putting out what I subscribed to him for anymore.

I think they are both fine...if you leave the sound off and make liberal use of the fast fwd. ;)

Speaking of Youtube knife reviewers, does anyone know what happened to Raptor660kid? He had a lot of knife & multitool reviews out there. Just did a search for one, and it looks like all his videos have been removed from the face of the internet. Just curious...

Ok, old post but just watched a nuntfancy review on another thread here titled cheap knives must haves, nuntfancy reviews a pocket bushman. The guy is wearing tactical gloves and knee pads while he's camping. Really, this is the best we got, to all those who posted he's doing a service to the knife community NO, he's not. He is making us all look like a bunch of yahoo idiots that perfectly fits the stereotype casting done by those we so politely call sheeple.

I understand the review concept and agree with it and believe that service is beneficial to our community but that guy is an ass clown doing nothing positive for the overall betterment of the knife community, gun community or outdoor recreational community in general.

Then that test he did on the pocket bushman using real world survival scenarios gimme a break, the guy pounds on a folder with a huge log trying to hack through another huge log and then says what a turd is broke. SHOCKER.

^^

I think he pretty much always uses gloves while he is chopping/cutting/sawing wood. Whether that be tactical, leather or something else.

Also, I recall him saying that he has bad knees. And that he's had surgery on one of them; maybe both. Thus the need for knee pads.. *shrug*

He has knee problems and he's using sharp objects very hard? Why wouldn't you wear gloves and kneepads if you had those two?

Don't you think you are being a bit harsh on the guy, Mike? No...wait a minute, he is an ass clown. My mistake. ;)

Yeah the "kid" was a good reviewer, I miss him.

Hey Charlie Mike,
I checked out your channel, but have only watched part of "Drinking with Charlie Mike, Pt. 1" so far. I will need to watch some knife videos before making the subscription decision.

I do get a slight feeling that they're both mallninjas in disguise....but that's excusable.

Both are a bit verbose, and tend to ramble, but they allow one an opportunity to examine a knife before they purchase it in the closest thing you'll experience to real time. By this I mean, it isn't always a possibility for you to get a good close-up look at the knife you're interested in, as in the case of Strider/CRK/etc, their knives are not always commercially available for you to touch and get a feel for. By watching these YouTube videos, you get a good sense of what the knife looks like, and how it performs in the hand. Admittedly, size is still difficult to judge, as, having never seen these guys up close, it's hard to know how big their hands are compared to your own. But put simply, they do provide a lot of information on something you're interested in, and have the potential to prevent you from making very costly unnecessary purchases.

Personally, I don't find it difficult to get through either of their videos in entirety, and I will typically watch both of their vids, as I appreciate both of their approaches, and one will often make points or comparisons that the other will not.

Plus, watching both videos gives me more opportunity to eye-fondle my next intended purchase :D

They're both doing a very respectable thing by reviewing knives and gear for us. I don't see how anyone could not enjoy their reviews. Obviously your ideology may differ from theirs, but who cares, their not FORCING you to agree with them. Of the two I prefer Nutnfancy, he's a pretty funny dude.

Since this is more about reviews than knives ...

Look, my bad not knowing the guy has knee problems. I've got a sister and a good friend that both have had both knees scoped. Their both active hunting, fishing, snow skiing, exercising and neither of them wear tactical knee pads. The first shot I see of him wearing gloves is him walking down the trail, with the knee pads, vest, pack, thigh rig, et la.

It's a little much. People watching the guy on youtube don't know he has "knee problems" wink, wink. All they see is some wanna be in some serious tack gear on tromping through the woods. The whole thing is a little out of sorts to me, also let me say this wearing tactical knee pads isn't going to really help his bad knees, that requires surgery, physical therapy, medications, etc. or combination's thereof. Not a overpriced pair of tacticool knee pads, plus for someone with bad knee he sure is hiking all over the place and doing a lot of robust woods activities.

He comes off as a total wanna be to me, sorry. Then again I have to think about him pounding on that folder with that ridicules big log while trying to cut another huge log in half. When the knife fails he's like what crap. No kidding genius you just took a folding knife and beat the ever living crap out of it with a big log while trying to cut an even bigger log in half with it. That is why they make chain saws, axes, hatchets, machettes and fixed blades you douche.

Oh no, wait a minute. My bad I forgot it is the whole real world survival scenario thing, let me ask you this question how many of you on here have ever found yourself in a real world survival situation where all you had is just one knife and you NEEDED for survival to use your folder to cut a huge log in half?

Most on this site just at Mr. Nutnfacny himself are totally and complete gear heads and are EDCing enough to crap to survive just fine or have a BOB, or BB or survival kit with them or nearby 24/7. So the whole one knife thing, ain't really buying that either.

Sorry, but that video just really gave me the creeps and I can tell you this if that guy showed up at my hunting club or at our camp ground people would laugh him out of the place or escort him at gun point off the property. I live down south man where hunting and fishing is a way of life, I'm talking bout people who bbq raccoons and eat squirrel stew with the heads still on. True backwoods people and they would literally laugh that guy out of the woods.

Watch that video and try to look at it from another persons shoes i.e. the mundane sheeple and see what they see, hell like I said I'm a knife nut, hunter, fisherman, gun nut, etc. and the guy gives me the heebie jeebies.
