Thoughts about nutnfancy and cutlerly lover

Break out the waders - I smell bulls*****t :D

National Guard maybe and and maybe got called up, but he also talks about being involved with the Air Farce in one of his videos - I'm almost sure of it.

I choose to take a person at their word until they give me reason not to. It should also be noted that most Air Reserve pilots spend more hours flying than actual full time military pilots.

I also say that if you (meaning anyone) thinks they're more informed and can do a better job, they should post some videos on youtube of their weapons expertise. It would be interesting to see other ideas out there.

You probably missed my post on page 5?

I like NutnFancy a lot, his "jacked-up" high speed pitch matches the speed I think at, plus it beats having to find a shop to get the feel for a knife and garner all the little details that he conveys. Cocky? Yep, but who cares?

Me too. I thought I heard him say he was in the Military but I don't hear him saying anywhere that he's a pilot or a Lt. Col or anything about his past LEO experience, so we don't have anything solid to go on. Just innuendo.

Nutn is a shameless self promoter but I like him anyway. ;)

I have heard him say he is a lt. col. in one of his videos. ***edit to add the video where he says he is a lt. col. http://www.youtube.com/user/nutnfancy#p/u/297/e_SP5IWMY6s about 5:30.

Having said that, he did a 10 minute review on a product, that he doesnt introduce the product or even what he is reviewing until almost 5 minutes in. I am not making that up.

Yup, he stated that he's Lt. Col in the military and all that will come out someday. Never heard saw that video before but I'll take him at his word. He's always seemed like a stand-up guy to me.

Does anyone know what happened to BLUNTTRUTH4U? I'm sure he was a member here.

Quite a while ago he posted on his youtube channel:

SORRY, GUYS - I'M GOING AWAY FOR A LONG TIME. CAN'T EXPLAIN MORE.
I'LL TRY TO LOG-IN AND ANSWER COMMENTS WHEN I CAN.
I'LL BE BACK WITH VIDS SOMEDAY (AND THE 1000 SUB CONTEST).

Nutnfancy does some pretty decent reviews, he seems very gear oriented. I prefer skills videos or at least a mix of the two.

The bolded comment sounds like a trip to the slammer. I had a friend a couple years back that was "going away for a long time", ended up being his 3rd DUI.

Some videos are really long but it helps me decide on if I really want the knife I want or not. I ended up buying a Spyderco Police 3 after doing research and watching Nutnfancy's review on it.

Incorrect. It's not like military folks work 24/7.

There's also a video from last year where he was overseas (looked like Iraq). He and Buggetnuster both are military and are the real deal. Nutn has been in the military for 19 yrs.

No we don't work 24/7, but he also mentions the fact that he has another job somewhere in the mix.

Either way, his videos are still awesome. It wouldn't matter to me if he worked at mcdonalds, or he was an astronaut, he has a crap-ton of knives and gear, and therefore can offer a better objective opinion than most people can, and that is what I watch his videos for. I agree with his philosophy about the "safe use of dangerous things" and he is a great advocate for that. I do think the amount of downrange experience he has would influence his videos, but again, take it for what you will.

I'm a fan of CL. He referenced one of my vids on the forward wave in his wave video. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned my reviews. I try to keep things short and to the point.

Consider this a shameless plug. Click the youtube link in my sig line.

I wrote you a real long PM about your videos and got no reply (maybe an email if you have it enabled) I felt slighted :grumpy: but I still watch them. I was watching you grind a blade day before yesterday. You looked like you were digging your mods and had a stogie in your mouth while you were belt sanding a waved karambit. Keep 'em coming they're getting watched.

No ****?

My YouTube is set up to my wife's email address. I try to check it daily. Send an email to kathur420ATyahoo.com. I've been conducting online bizz on my iphone for the last three weeks. Now I have to wait 10 days for my upgraded hi speed to get working.

I like them both, they have some pretty good info here and there. I may not agree with 100% of what they may say and/or suggest but they are not that bad.

I have been in touch several times with Nutn (as he calls himself) on several business projects I'm working on and I thought I would share what he wrote in one of his earlier emails. he writes a little about his philosophy as to why he does what he does. you may or may not agree with what he writes but based on my few contacts with him he seems genuine.

Hello Tim

I actually started TNP out as a hobby and I thought it would maybe, just maybe attract a few thousand subscribers and stabilize there. I imagined it would be a small, core group of gear heads that would follow my vids. I have honestly been shocked at its popularity and the quality people like yourself that it find it interesting and helpful. About 60% of the TNP audience are males over 25 years of age (YT stats) and a good percentage of TNP dudes are indeed military operators/pilots/soldiers/sailors/etc (all services, specialties, many combat engaged) and law enforcement officers (Federal, local). Truly my main purpose in TNP is to help good people like yourself and it is one of my core concepts. If I can help you save some money, get good gear that will serve you, your customers, and their good purposes well then in a small way one my main purposes with my Project are fulfilled. I am a consumer advocate first and foremost and try hard no to disappoint.

There are other individuals out there whose main purpose is make a buck off their audience and build subscribership at all costs, lambasting others along the way and seeking quid pro quo subscriptions and exposure. All of that is crap and artificial. I just keep my eye on keeping it REAL, founded on proven philosophies and concepts, and independent from all corrupting influences (lots have tried, all shunned!). So far, so good and I press on! Thanks dude for the good ratings, subscribing, the nice words, and the support...I don't take it for granted and without that I just wouldn't continue in TNP. I remain true to my mission here at TNP: quality product info and advice, encouraging friend and family adventure, a sense of fun, protecting our freedoms, and good people. And yes you have my permission to use my videos on your website and I will go and check it out sometime. I make them available to help people. More vids planned and in production as time allows. Stay cool!
Nutn

Cool deal. Hit me up.

I'm an old hippy and thought I was extremely "hip." My 20 year old daughter (my little girl) assures me that I'm not! What does that mean? :)

Hit me up = contact me ;)

Nutnfancy is a tool. I absolutely hate him. But...he does get his hands on some good gear.

I sat through half his MT Shot Show interview and clicked out knowing I had just waisted 20 minutes of my life that I would never get back. I can tell you everything pertinant about a knife and demonstrate it's mechanism in less than half the time he takes up. I find myself wanting to fast forward but I don't for fear of missing something I don't already know about the knife.

That is where I come in. I review stuff that a lot of guys just don't have and I do mods that most people would consider sacrilege. I enjoy doing my vids and that's all that matters.
