Thoughts and Opinions on The Tribal Lock?

I've had an ebony, an amber bone and a bonestag. All were excellent. The ebony was fitted so fine I couldn't unlock it no matter what I tried. Case took care of it.

OK, gents....you can call me a Tribal convert! I just received it tonight and my first thought was....this is a rather substantial knife! Beautiful, but substantial. I agree, it could benefit from a bit more heft in the covers bur I'm not complaining. Walk, talk, centering ....all perfect to my novice eye. I had the nice slip waiting for it, made it on Sunday. I'll post the pic links in a mo!.

I got this one in 2017, it has probably been my favorite jeans carry knife for the last three years:

Now that I stepped on the "Case Slippery Slope", I keep looking at the signature Tony Bose sowbelly .....I think it is about the same size as the Tribal Lock but a bit meatier handles.

You guys nudged me over the edge... my black delrin CV now has a CV barehead pocket worn whiskey bone (say THAT fast three times...:p) as a 'buddy'.
It's a wonderfully made knife, the bone is very nicely jigged, great color. The blade is almost perfectly centered, and came with a very nicely ground edge, that 'felt' sharp out of the box. It did have a slight burr that I dusted off on a very fine diamond stone. About 3 light strokes per side, and it is fully sharp. Just a really nicely made knife, no flaws.

I have that one too, like it and feels good in the hand, just too scared to put it to use yet. :D

Any idea what angle they are sharpened at? The Case insert recommends 10-15 degrees to the stone, my angle cube reads 24 degrees(48 degrees inclusive) on a Wicked Edge 130 system.

Well, I decided 18 degrees (36 degrees inclusive) should work on this blade so that's where we are now. It was a rather quick job but the edge is nice and even, a bit of a mirror finish to it so I'm happy. Now to decide between another Tribal or the sowbelly....

I like mine a lot, would Case do a smaller version like they do other patterns?

Ohhh! That is cruel!!!! I was actually looking at the Tony Bose signature one, the one with black covers. I am a bit confused though, some sowbellies have three blades, others only one blade! Am I wrong? I would much prefer a single blade.
You are correct. Some are sowbelly stockmen. I prefer the singles but there are fewer choices then.

Thank you for that, just pushed me over the edge in a manner of speaking.
Now I done it! Ordered the 2016 Shot Show exclusive Sowbelly from Case....come to think of it, I think I'll order one more for a good, long time friend.

I didn't think much about the yellow delrin ones but that sowbelly with yellow covers has a "come hither" look to it sooo... I ordered one while ordering a second Shot Show special. I think I'm done ordering....for today at least.
