Thoughts on WSK Knives ?

IMO the focus on these specialized and stylized knives is totally unnecessary. Just about any knife will do.

Any knife will do.....for what ?

Cutting cake - almost any knife but not the WSK. The duel grind and saw back have a habit of grabbing hold of the icing and smearing the decorative lettering during the cut. Thus rendering the WSK a truly useless design when it comes to weddings and the only symbolic activity that involves cutlery :D :D :D

I still say a larger WSK makes perfect sense-assuming Bryan's WSK turns out, I'll have him crank one out in the 8-9 inch range, probably without a sawback.

Ahh, that makes sense now...thanks Ken !:very_drunk:

They have always caught my eye, I've wanted to try one out but seems that most of the reviews I read have a negative feed back. More people dislike them than like them. I can't wait to see Bryan's ! I know when he's finished it will be sweet !

This did well this weekend.

Not sure who Bryan Breeden is, but thanks! Todd and I will be doing a full review and field trial of the M-18 this weekend. We'll start a whole separate thread for it.
