Thrifty Thursday... Cheap Traditional Knives

The 4 Rough Rider were around $10 each when I bought them. The 2 Marbles (with real rams horn covers, allegedly from farmed (ranched?) bighorn sheep, were closer to $15 each. I splurged on them.
All have 440A blades.

The knife is quite nice in a simple way, but it's the bread that interests me  Something artisanal to get your teeth into with decent butter or favourite jam (Cherry!) with coffee, later on (if any is left) for some cheese or dried meats 😍
This multigrain baguette pairs well with lightly salted butter, a good aged cheese, and a glass of fine red wine.
It also goes well with grilled meats or a hearty mixed salad.
But cheese and wine—that’s a match made in heaven.

Ring/Ratchet Lock & Slipjoint KUDU's. Both were under $10 each.

Both are a recent itteration with mirror polished 5CR15MoV fingerprint and smudge magnets.
I had a 20KK ringlock that pre-dated L.T. leaving the company, equipped with a mirror polshed 1.4116 KRUPP fingerprint & smudge magnet, allegedly made under contract in South Africa. (By the Okapi factory?)
Post L.T. era KUDU's (and the machettes formerly made in South Africa, like the "Heavy Machette" and "Royal Kukra Machette) are made in China.
