When I was working my way through college by bagging groceries, we were told “baggers” and “cashiers” were not to talk to each other when customers were present. We were told to talk to the customers because without them we wouldn’t have a job. Not sure that is stressed anymore, sometimes, as a customer, I feel invisible.That's pretty cool that they gave you a free knife. That's the way to earn repeat business.
These days, around here, I'm lucky to get a Thank You Come Again... somebody really needs to be teaching these kids about "service".
). Our daughter and her boyfriend were here with us from late Saturday until early Tuesday. First time we actually met the man in person, so that was cool. We all had a good time together (even if the weather was rainy much of the time), but a lot of activity for this old man who appreciates lots of "down time" when we're up here. During their visit, I didn't make my daily walking goals either, so I've been doing a lot of "catch-up" walking the past couple of days.
