Ti and ZDP Leek

I'll second the Cyclone ZDP with titanium or G10... It's a great blade config but a lil heavy right now.

It would be outstanding with better steel and a lighter frame!

Thomas, thanks for the quick reply, sounds as if it should be a winner and I am looking forward to getting mine.

Same here, I WANT this knife (mini) but it seems to be too heavy for me.

I like the idea of the ZDP Cyclone. I've never handled one but it is on my list. It would be nice for a ZDP Mini Cyclone too.

Okay... okay... I can't take it anymore!!!

I have been lurking this thread since its start.

I need to know when and where I can get my hands on one of these.

I can't afford to miss out on this one!!!

:D :D :D

Brian, I know of at least 2 distributors that are waaaaay over sold on the Ti/ZDP Leek, and they are both begging me for a higher allocation. That is a big indicator to me.
You should be able to find them at your favorite knife places in about 10-14 days. Get em when you can, I have a feeling they are going to sell through quick.

Great suggestions on the next ZDP project, appreciate the valuble input.

The Cyclone ZDP with titanium or G10 sounds great to me!! The mini of course!

Also, Thomas W,I would like to say Thank You for being here on the forum and listening to us.

How about a Titanium handled and ZDP bladed Vapor or VaporII? I really like the shape and feel of the Vapor, and I think that it would compare well against something like the alias. Just get a good clip on there.

Played with a Cyclone today, pretty cool in real life. Wish I had a little more time with it, but maybe I'll go back this week when I'm in town again and get a better look (only got like 30 seconds with it in the store).

With Cyclone blade geometry it will be total winner in slicing, cutting and any other knife-jobs.

If you'll make handle just a bit thicher, bit 3D - it will be knife of the year!

I like big Cyclone, but if you'll have both it will be just great!

What about ZDP- Ti Cyclone with Boron Carbide coating and insets with red G10! Or not even insets bit little addition on top as it is on Hiro Little Blue handle or CRKT Wasp handle.

Thanks, Vassili.

Here it is - Kershaw Cyclon ZDP-189, titanium + colored not polished G10 handle, with Boron Carbide coating:

Thanks, Vassili.

Is the intent to have a G10 insert in a titanium handle? If the entire handle is G10 then I don't know why the titanium liner is required. It would just run up the cost. Stainless works just fine.

I would prefer the entire handle to be of a titanium frame-lock design.

rnhood, I am feeling this as well.

BTW, the Ti/ZDP Leek weighed in at fit and trim 2.2 oz!:D

I have been playing with one all weekend (tough job I have, I know), and will see about a pic on Monday.
