Ti/Carbon Fiber S90v Military sale

got my 2 knives today and one has significant side to side blade play, pivot is adjusted to the highest setting and it does not get ride of the blade play. the other one is perfect minus a big thumb print on the side of the blade right out of the box, so maybe a return?

called KW for an exchange for the one I have problem with, was told to ship it back on my own dime. I decided to just return it so I don't have to deal with maybe the bottom or the 1200 pieces that may be customer returns for various reason

They don’t give you credit for shipping on a defective $200 knife? That’s pretty shady

I asked, was told they do not cover return shipping, so I elected to just return vs my original plan of exchange. basically they just lost business

I have done returns with bladehq and knife center who both pay for returns when the knife is defective

cutleryshopp also doesn't pay for returns shipping which I found out after trying to return a defective and out of spec knife where the lock bar stick up when open

I am not sure knives with side to side play, esp we do not know jow bad the play is, are automatically categorized as defective. Would be great if kw covers returning shipping, but not terribly wrong if not, IMO.

I see you snagged another one at a nice price  :)
Damn you got me :D. Yeah I last night I was doing a 204p blade swap with my original and saw that one and couldnt pass it up.

The blade swap went decently smooth for my first time. One major tip is to USE GOOD TORX DRIVERS... somthing I need to invest in. Any recommendations? But all in all after playing with the pivot its perfectly centered and smooth. Im not sure why though but the detent has changed and i dont have that satisfiying "snap" when closing it. Anyone else experiencing a loss of detent after a blade swap?

Born to cut.

I wonder how many of these have been bought by non bf’ers? Dozens of us have bought between 2-6; I admitted to buying 5, others even more! And only 1200 made! Last I checked no reviews except here.

Yeah, considering one person posted that they gave him a price adjustment of $39 on a knife he bought a week before the markdown.(which was imo really cool of them!) But a knife that has “issues” with the knife that a customer is unhappy with is usually grounds for free shipping. They sometimes temporarily charge you for return shipping, but once they receive it issue a refund. But I guess every site has their one idiosyncratic rule!

Just got mine! This thing is crazy nice for $199. Mine is perfect as far as I can tell.

Blade is centered and action is smooth

For your info Yonose.it was $40,not idiosyncratic at all!good investment from KW because now they have a "life long" cliënt in me.

I have submitted a very positive review on knifeworks.com and said it had been accepted for review, but it has not shown up

I was referring to the “no free return shipping” policy on defective knives as idiosyncratic! I commented earlier how awesome that was of KW doing that for you! A site I buy from often won’t do price adjustments but will pay return shipping on defects. In the case of that site, no price adjustment on a knife bought a day before the sale starting might be considered idiosyncratic, or maybe not.
Edit: how do you get the umlaut over the e? I’ve never been able to find the tilda, umlaut, or any other variations of foreign alphabets on my keypad!!

I just ordered two more 204P Militaries from good 'ol KW this morning. They have some of the best exclusives.

Also some of the best prices on certain brands! The 2 spyderco exclusives they have were originally priced a little high, but considering the sale price has been in effect for a long time, plus the rise in both map and msrp at Spyderco, these are by far the best deals around. I’ve been eyeing an exclusive from another brand on KW on which the regular price is good, but the sale price was amazing! I’m waiting for that one to go on sale again.
