I am not sure. Maybe other folks who bought this model, including yourself, can chime in? My other kw s90v ti/cf military seems to have more even grinding lines, but still is not as even as the kw cts-204p. Maybe has sth to do with the steel?
 
I have a couple of smaller Spyderco knives in S90V, such as Native 5 2015 Forum knife, and a Manix 2 from Cutlery Shoppe, and the basic grind lines look just fine...nothing like your pic.
 
This one looks slightly blotchy in certain light. But it's very minor and doesn't bother me in the least.

But it looks just fine in this light. I'm happy with it either way.

Truly this. I'm going by memory here, but I think S90V is more likely than a lot of other steels to show grind lines. But is this a knife to use, or an ornament to show (but never use) at the Sunday barbecue?

You are right. KW staff checked 50 some pieces :thumbsup: and told me they are all like this. Sounds this is just something normal to this model.

Yeah - I think they did it yesterday or today. Some poster said a few days ago that there were 120 left. So 50 some now is about right although I don't know for sure. Wolverine - quick maybe you should get two more :p
 
Well the pm2 did that to me too. I left them for sebenzas and came back. This time I figured I'll start with a bit better version then "base model" if that fits

One on the way. How these are not all sold out at $200 is crazy.
I haven't bought any new knives in a while now as Im more into my guns as of
late but I knew Id be kicking myself if I woke up tomorrow and these were sold
out.
