Ti/Carbon Fiber S90v Military sale

Mine just came in awesome knife but it's huge!! I'm afraid it end up on the exchange

It's not a small knife, that's true. I resisted EDC carry of the Military for years for that reason. In the last five years or so I've found it so much easier to use, in all conditions, that it has more or less become my basic EDC. The version I carry is a Frankenmillie that's made up from the original KW Ti/G10 CPM-M4 exclusive - I replaced the blade with an M390 sprint blade and the black G10 scale with an orange scale from the orange sprint. This one, with S90V, will be an amazing performer. Spyderco has always done a terrific job with S90V.

Shunsui, you are reading my mind. I have been thinking about ordering #3 for the past few days.

Anyone finding it hard to buy other knives when you could buy a third Ti Millie for a few dollars more ?

so i skipped bhq jade pm2... no reason to buy that anymore. while my green 204p is arriving, i am thinking to order another ti millie for backup

I do wish there was more variety of blade steel for this model.

It is nice to know that when they do make an exclusive or sprint of the Millie it doesn’t sell out quite as fast as the pm2, but I agree! Cruwear/pd-1, cts -xhp, and some other steels would make me h-h-h-happy! to see available all the time on Golden models. S110v is great, so I’m not complaining, but I can’t get interested in s30v anymore, even on an otherwise awesome knife.

I am going to miss Ti if it’s gone for good from the Military; I’ve seen flytanium scales for the pm2, but I don’t know if they’re available for the Millie, or if they are as good quality as the scales that come from their own factory?

Do you mean the Military, or the Ti/composite version? The Ti/composite (first G10, then carbon fiber) has so far been a KW exclusive. I think we can safely guess that sales of this one have been very, very slow, since the price has been knocked down to what is honestly a crazy low price. That isn't a good sign for future offerings in this particular configuration, which is too bad.

If you are willing to scout around a bit on the secondary market, you can find a large variety of sprint versions with various steels. Most of those probably won't drop into the current scale sets due to CQI changes, but they are out there (and most will drop into the original KW Ti/G10 CPM-M4 version).

Not really because I put a high value on variety. That said, I do understand the draw of duplication. I try to avoid it though.

Surprised it still has not sold out.

Me2. I just saw it while shopping for another knife, and couldn’t believe it, the price is insane! S90v is the steel on some of their most expensive folders, like the $500 paysan rassenti. Plus it’s limited, it’s us made, its got a titanium frame lock, etc.

Of course. I think I have stopped at 5. I will try to make an order today that does not include it, for the first time since the price dropped. I can’t deny I wish it would’ve sold out already. Four Ontario r2d2’s, no military. Now for the hard part, checking out.

Lol I keep saying how expensive the paysan is, but with the knives I bought in the last month or two I could’ve bought 4

Including 2 of the kw millies!

Alot of these have been popping up on the secondary market NIB, I wonder why
Mine has been a bit chippy so far. Though I haven’t heard others mention anything similar about this specific model. I’m hoping a new edge I put on will act differently than the factory edge. Aside from that, this thing is the slickest military I’ve ever owned.

S90V has 9% vanadium content! What kinda material are you typically cutting?
