Tidings and the return of Schatt and Morgan?

If you have Direct TV check out Channel 227. You can buy all of the knives you want made by the manufacture in Winchester, OH .

What do you think these will retail at, ball park figure, i know it's a hypothetical question, but i'm just curious on peoples opinions.:)
Based on the price point of the Weed knives also made by Cooper Cutlery, I'm going to speculate it will be more than a similar GEC knife. Granted some of the dealers have significantly raised the price of GECs lately which might price them about the same.

I just hope it's not going to be priced at the Tuna Valley level...I think Tuna Valley knives are well made (albeit, I have my opinions on their designs), but they are a weeee bit more spendy than GECs, even after dealer mark ups.

Not sure I can go along with all that hyperbole about "these machines made the best knives ever made in the United States..." highly contentious ;)o_O Those machines also made knives less than the best too....

But let's see how they turn out and what the price is like, those are the real substance.

My guess is they will be $150 + for a Single Blade Bone or Wood handled one and + $15 for a 2 Bladed model .
The Lowest Quality knives that I ever saw were made by Qeen and they were at a show in a cow barn in Titusville , Pa. in 2017 .

No that is fine mate. I was just curious, we have nothing like that here, Luckily for me.🤣🤣🤣

It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but I really don’t think you’re missing out. 😉😁

I agree, Will. I’ve been wondering from the start who will actually be making these knives. Are there experienced cutlers in Winchester, OH (population 1,051)?

As it says on the box (in a poorly chosen font), they’re handmade knives. The quality of the knives turned out by those old machines will depend on the skill of the person operating them.

I’m curious to see how these turn out, but I can’t really see myself as a buyer at that price, and I’m afraid they’re going to priced even higher.

Wasn't it people who made the Queen/S&M knives?
People adjusted and set the machines compensating for any idiosyncraticies, and assembled the knives, right?

Well I agree, it was. But then, without the machines the knives couldn't be made entirely by hand ;) It all underlines the hyperbole of the original assertion- they might have well as said 'some of the best metal in the US was fed into these machines':D Magic.

But, I am interested in the end product, fingers crossed.

I just don't see how owner(s) would even consider a venture in this field without deep pockets. It takes time and experience for the cutlers to hone their skills, and the surest way to collapse the whole thing is to price them too high at the start. I hope they price them as low as possible to maybe just cover their costs at the beginning, and then slowly adjust pricing as they build clientele. Unless they come out with clearly superior quality, to price them above GEC would be disaster.

Looks like they are out.

$125 for a trapper in stag, horn, or bone.
$125 for a German hunter in stag, horn, or bone.

Interesting shields too.

Are you talking about the Weed knives or the S&M knives?
If the Weed knives are $125, I'd imaging the S&M knives will be even more.
If it's the price for the S&M knives, it's not horrible, as long as the F&F is up to snuff.
I'm at work and can't search for them.
