Those are the Weed knives, which as I understand are the first/test/proto for the coming S&M knives.

That's for the Weed & Co knives I saw on one site. They were mostly sold out, although there's no telling how many the dealer had to start with.
 
It's hilarious. Laughed out loud when I first saw it, then got bummed when the green was sold out already.

No need to take everything so seriously, as far as unique shields go this has to be up there with the most bizarre. Not a fan of drugs or their use either but I can still laugh at jokes about them, which this clearly is. Not sure what their marketing angle is as my impression of most of the GEC market won't appreciate the humor, but who knows, we will see.

Anyone got one of those banana shielded yellow cover GEC's for sale, I feel it will make a good smoking buddy to my new Weed and Co. 🤣

I just think it's unattractive. I prefer to spend money on stuff that I like and once you get to that price point, aesthetics matter to me.

I don't care one way or the other about the substance reference.
 
When I first caught wind of the Weed & Co. being the first run effort, I didn't think anything of it. Based on the language used, it seemed that Mr. Cooper was wanting to use that initial run/product line to dial in their processes and such - I don't find anything wrong with that.

However, I did not realize that Weed wasn't simply a name of a town (there is a Weed, OR, for example) or someone's surname - based on the shield, it appears to refer to the plant. Again, there isn't anything wrong with that. It isn't for me but I know how helpful it's been for folks, even my cancer stricken loved ones.

Regarding the knives themselves: I dislike weird kitschy shields to begin with so the cannabis leaf shield is most certainly not my thing and personally, for a line that is likely fraught with issues due to the very intent of it, the prices are off base. I am sure they will make great collector pieces for those that are interested in preserving the history of the S&M line but I will wait until their other lines are produced.

The Weed & Co name goes way back to a hardware store in Buffalo N.Y. No different than GEC using Northfield or Tidioute. The shield on the other hand...I LOL'ed after a post by JohnDF clued me into what it was, so I guess I'm not offended. Doesn't mean I'm going to buy one bmwrider.gif

I was not expecting that to be the origin story of that stamp. Interesting, I saw the knife from their site and will be passing as well. It looks like the blade to handle ratio is most likely off. 2-d images can be misleading tho.
 
I think this is just a start. I don't believe the official Schatt and Morgan branded knives will eventually carry marijuana shield...but only time will tell...
 
One site has sold out of the first release Weed & Company stock already. Don't know how many they had, but will be interesting to see peoples thoughts and reviews. :)

Ya... they won't get any from me either... not if that's their introduction to the market place.
But obviously there are enough out there who like that stuff and they seem to have sold quickly.
 
euroken euroken Maybe not a marijuana leaf shield but perhaps a pill jar or syringe shield. Compared to the Weed brand the pure S&M line is the higher end after all.

I'm with Pàdruig though, I don't think there is anything wrong with it (the leaf) but it isn't for me.
