Time to Change Your Snark Plugs

I once had a pizza flare up in a dirty oven  As I closed the oven door and tried to decide what to do, for some reason all I could think of was to throw flour on it... but a little voice in my head whispered, "that's not the right answer, dummy... that will make it worse".

Hehe, for once, the voices in your head were actually helpful! Mine usually just tell me to close my eyes and go back to sleep...

WW, I don't remember Mr. Crabs being so..........well endowed. Pretty good drawings though.

Hoss the heists are pretty insane. They added my favorite chopper to boot. Ever since Rambo, the Hind has been a favorite.

Did he draw them all from memory? I couldn't even draw them I'd the show was playing right in front of me.

Misti set the stove on fire today making spaghetti. Not sure how the heck you do that. She freaked out and started yelling for me to help. No idea what was under the burner that started up, but it was burning pretty good. Had to be some oil or something, but I don't knowhow it would have gotten there. Anyways, I pretty much let it just burn out on its own while she continued to panic.

I suspect she had put canola oil or cotton seed oil in the water to keep the spaghetti strands from sticking together, the pot boiled over and any floating oil went first and.... poof. Burner fire. All you need is a tablespoon or two in the pot to prevent sticking. Too much more is wasted. Pasta can boil over really easily.

Since oil and water don't mix, this won't prevent sticking. It only works if you put it into the pasta after it's cooked and drained. If you put it in before, you're just boiling the pasta in a pot with some oil floating on top. Best way to get your pasta cooked right is to make sure and use a big pot with lots of water and keep it boiling until the noodles are cooked; strain and put them back in the pot with a little oil of your choice or butter or margarine. Alton says don't do it...so don't.

Spent all day raking and burning leaves. It was a freaking mess. Leaves, sticks, and gumballs, that had sat there all winter under the snow. 'Twas a bitch raking all the gumballs, as most were stuck in the ground.

^ tell people to throw their nasty gum in the trash next time. :p

Just seen the new? ZT 0808, I like it. Not too tacticool, or flashy, and looks like one hell of a cutter. Ti handles would probably look cool with some sweet anodizing too, but i like the look as is.

This is also pretty cool.. Not a fan of it not being full tang all the way down, but i love the idea and the way sheath functions is awesome.

I gotta say WW, I kinda like what I am seeing there. Seems pretty well thought out. Now we just need to see how they actually function.

Cleaned up and hafted an old flea market hatchet head I've had laying around for years.

It's an old "Evansville Defender" made in Evansville, IN. Good to go after a hundred or so years. A real dandy little splitter too.

It's real nice to be able to go outside and sit on the balcony to drink beer and play with knives.....

My wife and I have had a fairly productive day here in our vinyl cave in the sky. Among our achievements, I was able to finish up our taxes. Since our savings isn't looking too bad, I'd like to go on get the ball rolling on mortgage pre-approval.

Because thats where the Leprachauns poop.

Nice work Trade. I've got 3 heads sitting here that need handles. I bought them for projects to work on this winter and kept forgetting about them. Maybe next winter....

That's pretty cool, Trade. It looks like a handy size hatchet. I went to school down in the city it hails from.

I like it a lot!

While you guys have been enjoying Spring, we were having a little more snow......snowing a very little, still. Been shaping canvas Micarta for the last hour or so. Used my four-in-hand for a bit to rough in a little more profile....works pretty good with hand files/rasps.

What's the name of the place of the legendary boudin? I'm rolling east on I-10. Might or might not get to stop today, definitely on the way back home.
