From what I understand, the torx will be used starting with the Survive Starter orders. There was an option for no jimping on the 4.1 seconds.

This dude nailed it.

There's a little confusion with the specs and details of the old stock vs the new, starter models. With the last of the old model 4.1's there was an option for jimping which sold out pretty quick.

Torx will only be used in the new, starter models.
 
You had to move fast to get the jimped ones. I ordered a 4.1 2nd 10 mins after the email arrived. Mine is still siting on awaiting fulfillment as well. Maybe factory 2nds go after regular production.

Completely agree - the jimped 4.1s were gone in a flash.
I ordered 4.1 regular and 2nd and still waiting so they might just be putting my order together as a whole. It's nice to see some people are getting theirs so hopefully mine is soon!
 
A friend posted this in reference to actual, real life problems, but it made me think about my situation as I'm awaiting my orders. The struggle is real, SURVIVORS!
 
Haha, I am still waiting on a gso 5.0 that i am pretty pumped about....my best defense is to pretend I didn't order anything, when they ship It'll be like early xmas!
 
I actually do better when I've got something on order. Knowing I have something coming keeps me from pulling the trigger on other stuff in the meantime. But for the really long waits, Just Breathe....in through the nose, out through the mouth, lol.
 
4.1 to the door in less then eight days a little over two years ago.

Recent 3.5 to the door in less than two weeks.

Ordered the 4.1 seconds on April 29th (40 business days today) and still not here. 2 people. Adding a 3rd.

Ordered a Thru Hiker from Fehrman (custom) on April 9th. Waiting to purchase 3v from another supplier because it wasn't to their standards. Got the steel in, made it, shipped it just under 4 weeks. I'd say 2-3 people deal with knives and the rest tool and die.

SK! is getting there and is worth the wait. Really looking forward to it.
 
Happy to share as of 2 minutes ago, I received the email status of my 4.1 seconds as, "shipped". Ordered on April 29th. Whoo Hoo!

Great news. Maybe yours was the last one ordered on the 29th so now the one I ordered on the 30th is next in line :)

I hope you're right and I'm sure it's coming real soon. From what I recall, as soon as the email came that the 4.1's were available April 29th, I ordered one of the seconds, 10 minutes later. I think it was a few hours later, that the ones with jimping were gone and the non jimping were still available. That's how I remember it anyways. Hope that helps.

Let us know when your status changes and post a pic when you get it!

Why would they start shipping 4.1's when some still havn't received their 3.5's. Sounds like you may receive the 4.1 first.
i finally got through w/ an email last week to cancel a ferro notch on my 4.1 second order and Ellie sounded like the remaining 4.1's would be out this week.

Hey, thanks for thinking of me and checking in.

Ellie mentioned that the last of the 3.5's were still being sold when the 4.1's became available. When I ordered on 4/30 there must have already been some 4.1's that were sold. It looks like they are shipping things out in the order they were ordered. I need to not wait around so much next time I order!

We have the GSO-3.5s all sharpened and built. First thing this morning will be packing them up and getting shipping labels on them. You should get an email in the next few hours.

There are still some GSO-4.1s getting sharpened so we won't have those all out by the end of this week. You should get those shipping confirmations next week.
