Time to your door

April 11th and you don't have it yet? That really surprises me. I thought they were caught up on the 3.5's to that date already.
 
The 3.5 I've had for a while. I thought you asked when I ordered. The 4.1 second I ordered the first day announced.

I placed my order on May 1, and my 5 has not shipped. I am neither worried nor surprised. It will get here whenever Guy gets it done. I understand that making knives by hand take time AND that Survive! is a small craft business where delivery times are highly variable and usually rather long.

Edit to add - I am not trying to be rude to totallynotalex. Just offering my perspective on Survive! and delivery times in general.

To answer totallynotalex, from everything I've seen, I think they're still working on finishing 3.5's and 4.1's from the last couple days of April. I ordered a 3.5 on April 30th and that is part of a batch that is working on getting sharpened and shipped.

It takes more effort for me to be as cool as ncrockclimb, but I definitely understand the situation. With that said, I have to ice my thumb each night to relieve it from all the website and email refreshing that I do during the course of the day.
 
Ordered the 4.1 second the first day announced. 35 business days today and not here but was explained through another thread that the 4.1's will ship by the end of June.

I'm cool with that cause like you, we all have other knives to entertain. It's worth the wait.

LOL! I check my Survive! account every day (usually more than once) to see if my 5 has shipped. No zen mind here!
 
I'll be very excited once they start the 5s..Then the 5.1s...

I just hope they can make it to Blade 2016 the demand for their knives I can't imagine many on their table would last long.
 
SK! has grown to be so popular I wouldn't be surprised if they incrementally increase their prices every year to the point where they can tighten (lower) their production. Ellie and Guy have busted ass to please everyone and surely they need to come up for air and have some level of balance in their lives. Probably the wrong thread for this but I'm going with it...

I wouldn't blame the average business man (or woman) to raise prices to match demand, but Guy doesn't seem like the average business man :) :thumbup:
