Titanium Frame lock WIP and introduction

hey everyone,
i hope you're all doing well!

so i finally started the third batch of knives.. here's a few pics, as you can see i switched to slotted head pivots as a few of you suggested it's better than the previous one and easier to dismantle your knife!

Alphahunter i can't wait to get started :D

here's a few more pics..

a few people asked me what do i use as a blade stopper..well i use the first standoff, i was thinking of using a special 2mm rod but i like to keep things as simple as i can..
the photo below explains what stops the blade.

thanks for looking everyone :)

the wait time for this batch is 2 or 3 weeks...i still have 2 slots open.

as for medium duty , something is in the works...but i want to iron out all the bugs before i make a proto..so a month or two before i release the initial design :)

todays update:

grinded the blades with 60 grit..tomorrow i'll do the 'fine' grinding

thanks for watching everyone!

Hi Dalibor

Excited to hear you have "Medium Duty" in the works!

Still loving mine....which is now as smooth as silk.....even just the fantastic "Click" as I pop it open!

hey DeliveryD ,

i'm glad you love it!!!
i will definitely make a smaller version, it's gonna be a bit different than Regulus, still a wide blade just shorter..i'll keep you guys posted :)

Hey Dalibor, just stumbled across this thread. Its amazing, I can't believe the kind of progress I've seen in these pictures. I would to have one of your knives one day.
I'm just curious, I love the blade shape, have you ever considered making a version with a full flat grind?

well i could do almost a full flat grind...i just love to show just a little bit of bevel..just adds something to the blade. in my opinion at least.

today i grinded the blades to finer grits , tomorrow i'll sand flats and handles and maybe set the detents if everything goes smoothly :)

Great work!!! Any thought to a smaller edc version. I bet it would draw a lot of interest. Especially to those looking for a sebbie alternative maybe? I really like it. Again awesome work!

Thanks!!!

@Barrage
yes i'll make a smaller version soon...still things to do, make some improvements etc..

today i don't have a a lot of new photos..spent the day on setting up the blade choil (blade stopper) and setting up detent balls.
tomorrow i need to go to my friends shop and cut G10 for 4 G10/Ti knives..i should leave the blades for HT on Friday or Monday , will see when i get the slot :)

Hey Dalibor, on how much HRC are your 3V blades hardened? Thanks.

the first batch was at 61 RC and i didn't change anything so these are gonna be from 60 to 61 RC

i red that people like their 3v on 63 RC but at 63 there's a bit less than 40 ft/lb impact toughness , and at 60 ~ 61 there's 70ft/lb or a bit less..almost double!
that info is according to crucible data sheet.

so that's why i went on 60~61RC.

hey jdm, you emailed yesterday right?
anyway whoever wants to ask anything please feel free to email me dr.dalibor at gmail.com

today i worked on G10..man that stuff is everywhere, i took a shower and i still smell g10 :D
tomorrow i'm getting OD green g10 and i'll make forth scale tomorrow..

here are the todays photos..HT is on Monday!
