That's super cool.... I'm sure he cherished it, and seeing the rest of your products quality, I'm sure his ancestors will cherish it a Long time from now too.....

Hopefully that is one you can bring to market, also.....

Something completely new for us. Finished up this overnight duffel bag. Haven't completely settled on a name yet but am thinking about the Sage Brush Rambler. Sized to fit in an airline overhead at 9"x20", I was surprised at how much it held. Just to fill it up for the pics it took six pairs of jeans, six shirts and two bulky wool sweaters. Developing a new product is always the hard part for us. We'd had this done for some time but hadn't come up with and finished a handle wrap that we liked. Finally did that yesterday. Got three hours (times the both of us), in building a prototype handle wrap, refining it and finally building one and adding it to this bag. Whadya think?

That looks fantastic, though perhaps a little bigger than I'd want unless I use it to rob the bank in Santa Fe...

They make really nice knives, I've been a fan of their knives for a long time.
Me too, lookin forward to their sub.
Thank you.
I've only ever been to one knife show, years ago. What struck the wife and I was there were a bunch of really good knife makers there. However, most of the sheaths that came with these knives looked like they had been stitched together with a 16 penny nail and the leather used...... I couldn't even tell ya where to go to buy such bad leather.

This was not so at the Arno Bernard table. Not only were the knives superb but so was the leather work! Hats off.

That was one of the first things I noticed when I started looking into making knives, a lot of sheaths were rarely up to par with the knife. I've tried to keep things even along the way, I think that's important.

Thank you very much. I will tell my brothers.

I've read articles about custom knife making back in the 60's and 70's, that if you went to a show to and bought a custom fixed blade knife and ask the maker for the sheath they would tell they don't make sheaths, just the knives. It was the buyers responsibility the find a leather worker or shoe maker to make a sheath, but back in the day shoe repair shops were all over the place, not anymore. When I was a kid, my father would take his and our shoes and boots in and have them resoled, the uppers on a good pair of shoes or boots could easily last 10-15 years, but those days are long gone.

Ha, that's me... I know a knife is finished when it's in the mail to a sheath maker.
