Tomorrow's chopper sale and the random number generator

It has been suggested to me, by the kind gentle souls of people older and wiser than I, that the Friday chopper sales are practically impossible for the average CPK user to get into and I need to do a lottery or use a random number generator.

With that in mind, I will apply a random number generator to all of the posts that land in the first minute. So, everything posted before 3:01 will go into the generator.

However, since this is a random number (totally random) I can go ahead and post the random numbers now!

The totally random, can not be predicted in any way, completely random numbers that fit no known pattern of any kind are:

I'm sure these completely random totally unremarkable random numbers should cover any eventuality for the first minute

Please post only one time or we will break the server (again)
 
Does this mean that if there are 57 posts in the first minute that you will pick random numbers between 1-57 until you have picked the number of choppers you're selling? Struggling to understand how pre-generated random numbers fits this process?

We're just going to sell however many knives sell in the first minute. It might be five, it might be 20.
 
So, about 250 to 300 knives then. Got it. 👍🏼
The way this random number generator works, it would take almost 2,000 posts to sell 300 knives

You can only post once

I don't think there's 2,000 people that have even heard of CPK

There's unlikely to be more than a few dozen posts in the first minute. I think we've got it covered.

What happens if 40 people in first minute want choppers? 10 of the 40 get randomly selected and get one? All 40 get one?
 
Ok so we post once and only once. Post has to be in the first minute sale opens. Our post number is our number , so if one is post #31. That person is hoping the random number generator spits out #31 ?

Am I following this correctly lol, sorry brain is cooked today

The intent is to sell about 10 choppers

But maybe only 5. Maybe 20

It's open for one minute. The random numbers are already chosen, the first 20 are listed above.

Yeah, sort of. The TOTALLY RANDOM numbers are already chosen, listed above.

No, Nathan has already posted the winning numbers. You just have to be lucky enough to have one of the winning post numbers when you participate in the sale thread.

What makes it random is that you can't predict where your post will fall in the continuum, and the winners are sure to include more than just the quickest entries.
 
If 13-16 people make it, 5 will sell
If 29 or 30 people make the first minute, 10 will sell.
If >= 71 people make it, 19 will sell. (there's 19 numbers on the list)

About a 1:3 chance, less if a ton of people show up. Chances decrease if field knife buyers hit a prime number.
