BUT, Tony Deuce did return my money in the end. I saved all the pictures from the thread and the Beetle was #84. I've always been interested to see if someone sold that knife again at some point.

Well, as long as it is noted what the money was for (refund on nondeivered item), it should be alright. I also would not necessarily leave money laying around in my paypal accunt either; especially with some of the notoriously scammy types of people that do what they want.
Yeah he sent me money,which I'm very happy about. Question is does this make it all better?
In my eyes he still stole from me and caused me a lot of stress because I felt it was my fault. I think he still needs to be banned from here so this B.S will not happen to any other good people here.

I agree that this does not take away from the fact that he received the knife and told you he had not. After that he proceeded to take money and another knife from you as reimbursement for his losses that did not exist. There is no excuse for that activity and it hurts those who handle business in an honest manner.
No, goods are covered by the Paypal Agreement. There is recourse to a refund if there's a problem. Gift or money owed is not covered.

I'd like to at least get some information before pulling the trigger. Don't worry, these threads serve a purpose, but it happens only when people are bothered to actually read them. Will he leave you negative feedback if you leave it for him? Possibly, the retaliatory aspect is alive and well, which is why we strongly advise against it.

No need to leave feedback if he is going to get banned soon. Give the mods some time to look at everything. I'm sure they wanted to make sure you got taken care of before making a decision on his status. He won't be a member too much longer. Any member who lies and claims a package was lost and then defrauds another member out of cash or goods will be banned I'm sure.

If he sent it through goods, it seems a bit suspicious. I would withdraw all the money immediately and close the paypal account so he can't try to make a claim in the future.
