Ariat ramblers? We got my pops the same pair for Xmas, he loves em! I tried them on and the square toe is crazy comfortable on my Fred flint stone feet hahah

Yes they are ramblers. I can't do the pointy toe boots either! For what they cost I could get a hand full of Beckers but I figure these things will last me years!

Wow, neat digs!
But why do you let your food run around like that? ;)
I suppose all the snow keeps it cold.

out of season, sadly.

next year, i am going to tag at least one with a bow.

I hate f*ckin' snow.

Six hours on the John Deere (4 tire chains) clearing my driveway and a couple of neighbor's, and the yard so the dog can find his toilet. Officially 27 inches here, but parts of the State (east central) got over 35".

six hours? wow. what kind of driveway?

my driveway is around 300 feet long, one pass (28 inches) with the super thrower takes 4-5 minutes; 4 passes == get a car through; 6-7 passes == wide enough for UPS or oil truck

the end of the driveway was slower (separate deal), but vroom. love this machine :) just blow that shit into the forest, gone. good stuff. mailman likes me, cleared the mailbox super good.

then it's a matter of a path around the house, paths, the 40x80 in front of the garage, a couple parking spots. not even 3 hours told, including taking pictures and screwing around...

makes for the tired though. oh yeah.

Changed the Earl in my Jeep this dreary morning intending to take my 1 year old son on a tour of our new land. When I came in to get him, momma had put him down for a nap! So now I'm gonna improvise and take my BK2 out, explain we're adopting a 9 this week and they'll be some changes in shelf placement for him. Yeah..winter's boring.

Obviously lousy knives. I wouldn't bet my life on anything but a Busse. :D

Even a used Busse? Ew... ;) :D

*Timber's deep thought of the day:

Maybe I'm just picking at the edges here on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but it's kind of sad when rockstar knives get old... kind of like aging Hollywood party girls: once they were all Learjets and caviar, and now they're all working behind the 7-Eleven just tryin' to pay the rent.

Luckily, many knife nuts actually dig the look of wear and patina on their blades. On actual party girls, though? Not so much...

:D

What's up every body. It's been awhile since I've been on I've been moving. I moved in a trailer park I lived in with my dad 20 years ago and there are lots of woods here finally. I also got a cs trailhawk in so far I've striped the head and I'm making a new handle for it too

Not only that but the same people who posted about these so called "failures" are also talking about how great their $5 China knives are! They moste likely don't have a clue!

What was wrong with the original handle on the hawk? I'm in need for a new one on my pipe hawk, it came short and kept shrinking to the point where I have about 1/2 an inch left on top as opposed to the 1.5" that came with it.

Tens of thousands of BK9's out there. Sheer numbers say, there are gonna be a few break. Luckily, Kabar stands behind their knives 100 %, granted , doesn't do much in the woods, but I've trusted my life to them for years. Don't plan on stopping that anytime soon......

Moose

I hear ya, Moose!

I reckon I just wanted to see of any other Beckerheads wanted to join me on the porch to yell at the kids to get off my lawn... so to speak... :o :D

Naw, I don't do that, very often.

Folks are entitled to their opinion about whatever they wish. Trying to change someone's mind about some things, just waste bandwidth. I know the truth about the BK9, and if someone is scared off from a puchase because of a few failures, then so be it.

I usually just point them here to our little neck of the woods, and let them read, make their own decision. They usually go with the hundreds of glowing reviews and soon forget about the handful of crappy ones.

Plus, it makes you look like a fanboy when you show up criticizing someone's post that doesn't show a good knife in a good light.

I'm the more laid back and dignified Moose than I was.

Yeah, thats some bullshit there........I tried though.

If you are a more dignified Moose now, how were you then? :D
