Too big, too strong, too hard...

What that's crazy, how does the corporate espionage stretch all the way over there?

Well if you don't post pics at least tell us a little about the in house design. It's been kept secret as far as I know.

it has awesome looks, 3 3/4 composite blade (the same cutting edge steel as on 560LE+sandvik), solid titanium handles

also about the pic it looks like ZT ad leaflet or some kind of press release, maybe some of the dealers leaked it?

I really don't know if I should post it but the picture of this one and the inhouse model (not the 560 composite blade carbon fiber) surfaced on Ukrainian knife forum. I am not posting link untill Thomas W says it is OK

I say good call on that one Shevtar. We are very lucky to get what info, and see what pictures we do. I for one would not want to bite the hand that feeds.

For the weekend:

The 3rd ZT knife for Blade is being finalized, and there are 5 options we are currently contemplating. As usual, time is running short, and the show is coming fast. We'll have the last of the parts in on Monday, and will be making final decisions on steels and finishes. It's the reason I have yet to talk about it. Should have more to share on Monday/Tuesday of next week.

Now let's keep on topic.

Thomas, you guys are doing some seriously interesting stuff these days.

That knife looks more like a high end custom to me than it does a production knife.

I can't wait to see what else you folks are going to come out with for Blade. ZT is taking it's game to a whole new level IMHO

Very nice CTS-B75P seems to be Carpenters powdered BG-42, that sounds very promising !

Had to google it myself never heard of it before :D

Changed my mind, steel will be Carpenter CTS-B75P.

Will one of you nice people cure me of my stupid? i have never heard of this and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of comparative data on performance

EDIT: "high carbon, high chromium, corrosion resistant alloy which can be described as either a high hardness Type 440C stainless steel or a corrosion resistant D2 tool steel. Possesses corrosion resistance equivalent to Type 440C stainless but can attain a maximum hardness of 64 HRC, approaching that of D2 tool steel. "

That sounds really interesting, but i can't find much on how it compares to the common "Super Steels"
