If you hadn't heard...the allure of this steel is that it's a modern version of BG-42, which was pretty much the best you could get before PM was introduced to factory knives. BG-42 was produced clean enough that you could run it a little harder than most steel types of similar alloy, and while CTS-B75P isn't made by Latrobe, that it's a PM steel should more than make up for that.
I thought BG-42 was special, and I think B75P is more special. So, technically it isn't necessarily anything special, but for some people the nostalgia will be too much to resist, especially since BG-42 was so hard to get (Latrobe was notorious for taking forever to deliver).
ZT is taking it's game to a whole new level IMHO

Changed my mind, steel will be Carpenter CTS-B75P.
I hope this RJ at least has a deep hollow grind (since no rampage) so it will slice as good as the Ti JYD.
It uses screws, but the main handle screws are hidden under the insert for clean looks.
The production knife will have a flat ground blade.

You got me. I've read this thread-It had my name in it.
I'm as curious as the next guy to see what the brilliant minds at KERSHAW have concocted........
