Too big, too strong, too hard...

I thought my 0561 was the grail knife.... WOW, a must have; again!?! The use of black magic is unfair to my wallet:rolleyes:

Could it be a lock bar over-extension preventer or a combo of an LBS and replaceable lock bar face?

I wonder what those two little screws are. I don't see a detent ball, though that might be the angle.

It'll kinda look like this:

I'll take me some of that, Pops.

Damn, 3 weeks is a long time. :D

I stay away from the forums for a week and this is what I miss. You're prying more money out of my greedu little fingers.

Is this going to be a production or limited edition? The pics make it look like they're making a ZT volt

I hope there is a new steel we don't know about that will be better than M390 or ELMAX. Is this a ZT or Kershaw product?

I love the texturing on the frame and how the carbon fiber mimics it. I don't see weight saving cut outs on the frame lock side near the steel lock face insert thingy (looks like an over travel stop also, clever)? Maybe thats what the carbon fiber is hiding.

So on my Zing and Groove there is a cutout for the stop pin on the flipper, with the blade open near the thumb frame lock cutout. This prototype kinda looks the same way to me, or maybe I'm just seeing things again.

I am praying this is a rampage style grind.

I'm going to venture a guess and say it's a drop point blade with no recurve. I highly doubt we're going to see a rampage grind on this one. The flipper and the grooves in the butt end of the knife are dead giveaways that it's an RJ Martin design.

Well I have been bugging them about a Rampage grind. (I really don't want to buy a Boker Rampage [China], but I will if I have to, just to quench my fix until I can get the real deal) I still have hope. That coupled with the still secret blade shape. A rampage grind would be a dead right there give away who the designer is.

The Volt has the same radiuses thumb cutout on the lock bar as this prototype. Its a nice little feature to help keep the skin attached to your thumb when you flip it like a million times a day.

Too bad I don't see a little carbide tip glass breaker on the butt? I guess thats what the frame is for.

I can't wait, I am over here on the west coast and won't make it to the Blade show, I hope attendees take good pictures and videos.

I saw it but some guys login and do an advanced search on their username to find out if they have things to read of interest concerning themselves.

BUT, I agree, let's have that ZT/RJ Martin collab. I want to buy the proto if that's okay Thomas?

It's a mystery.

So not an overlay; is it a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma?

I think I can hold out until I see you for the answer, problem will be the wait for it to hit the streets (not complaining about production time, complaining about my lack of patience). ;)

There is a little rounded tab that sticks out lower that is part of the insert. It looks like that could be used as an over travel stop as well. Killing two birds with one stone. Great idea.
