Trappers come in a variety of sizes:

Blood red is as close as I can get to orange:o, but a trapper for sure and one of my favorite carries.

(Scanner makes the bolsters look flat, but they are nicely curved and comfortable).

Here is my donation. An Imperial Frontier 4324 Gunpowder Black Trapper.

Estate sale Schrade on top, flea market Old Timer, and Western below. I'm not sure a single-blade can be a trapper; if so I think this is one.

As for Halloween orange, I have to combine a candy-apple red and a lemon-drop yellow (HSB and Camillus). Root-beer barrel brown (Camillus) because it also looks good enough to eat. (My photo doesn't do it justice.)

Forgive me Rick-as I am sure you have explained this before-what is that knife all about-could you please explain the workings of it to me-sorry if I have missed something very obvious.Nice looking knife by the way my friend!

Hiya Duncan. Hope you're well, my friend.

It's a lockback leaf-spring auto with a pivoting release lever. Pushing the lever forward places lateral pressure on the lockbar, which releases the blade in both open and closed positions. It looks a little odd, but it feels very natural in use, and the blade can easily be opened and closed one-handed.

Wait, what?

Is it an automatic, like a switch blade?

Or that it can simply be opened one handed? I am intrigued!

Yep - It's a full auto (note the lack of a nail-nick on the blade).
