TOTM October: Trappers!

Medic - Cool picture of some very cool knives. Looks like your rockin some patina already

Bob W - That single blade trapper is a great pattern and the commemorative is sweet.

I just got my forum trapper yesterday after lunch and haven't taken a picture yet. It is a beautiful knife. If it was a single blade with just the clip, it would definitely favor a version of "Lanny's Clip". It would also make a superb single blade wharncliffe trapper with just the wharncliffe blade. If we are lucky maybe GEC will put single blade versions out for us to buy.

Whoopsie, I've used up my 2000th post. Got to do something about that.

She's a beaut! I'd ask how much they cost, but I'm slightly afraid of the answer. :D

Stanley, that trapper is fantastic. Thanks for posting the pictures. Very elegant!

I'm carrying a Colt trapper today. You can see the photo on the EDC photo thread. You can't miss it; always on the first page and 840 pages or so. Watch out though, that thread is very unfriendly to your wallet.

It was already posted in two threads, so I figured everyone had already seen it anyway. But thanks for putting it up here.

It's funny-- sometimes I'll catch every thread across the board (or forum, as it were), other times I definitely miss things in seemingly "read" threads.

I'd somehow missed seeing your knife in the "Today's Carry" thread (or any others), so went to look for it based on the clues you provided. :)

I think I'll carry this on the last day of the month, Canal Street Moon Pie Trapper in kudu horn:

It's full size so I don't carry it much in my pocket, it goes in a leather pouch on my belt. It's a sweet knife and I really love the horn handles.
