TOTM October: Trappers!

Hey guys the only example I have of trappers is this one, sharing the table with the family on the eve of our national day here in Spain.

CASE XX USA mini trapper jack

Ahhh... Membrillo and cheese... You really know how to taunt a guy...

Great shot!

This was and is my first premium trapper. It always made light work of rabbits and squirrels...

Don't have any orange trappers, per se, but do have a couple orangy copperlocks:

and this one:

As for trappers, I generally carry one or the other of these two:

I have a number of other trappers; it's one of my favorite patterns. They appeal to me aestheticly.

I have been looking at a trapper just for this thread, but haven't actually bought one yet.

In the meantime, I'll be carrying those Case mini trappers up there.

Here is the "Harvest Orange" Case Sowbelly that I've carried every day this October:

I love the size, shape, and blade selection of this one. Sowbellies are sweet!:thumbup:

Ed - THose sloped bolsters look really nice.

I may have to pick up the matching peanut. Those two would make a great EDC combo.

Jazub, that sowbelly is fantastic. Great color on the bone.

EA42, that Canal Street trapper has really great wood covers. Cocobolo? or something else?

Thanks very much for the compliment, TLARbb. The seasonal coloration combined with the fine shape of the sowbelly has made it an easy choice each morning this month.

Clutch - love the Oeser with the bollocks shield - that is a beauty!

I guess I have to add some of the BF Traditional Trapper to this thread -

My only trapper is this Case 6207 mini trapper jack from 1978.

Doug,
I really really like this knife. I'm not a fan of vintage knives, but every time I see this one, I'm tempted to take that road :)

However, I do have these, tiny and mini wharncliffe trappers:

I shall give them a go. :)

I do love your blue Mini WT...and you know it :)

I'm sorry I have no trapper to contribute to this thread...yet

I've fallen way behind on my photography, so you'll have to settle for these re-run pictures:

Here's one that doesn't get shown often outside of the Schrade Collectors area:
