Traditional French Fry day

How does it handle? Is the blade similar to their laguiole or is it a bit beefier? What's the blade thickness?
I love the way it handles. Has a very substantial feel. The blade is very similar to the Laguiole -- the FP website lists the blade thickness as 3mm for both knives. The real difference for me is in the handle, which is more robust...

I've been looking at it, the laguiole gentleman and the capuchadou. Wanting a pocket knife that can do day to day jobs but also skin the occasional deer. Can't seem to decide on which.

Italian-sounding, but definitely French; a gift from our esteemed friend, Jolipapa Jolipapa !!
Thanks again, Alain!!! :)
Not only the maker's but the knife's name as well, Lombard refers to the small village where AG stayed when learning cutlery in Thiers, it is named after the Lombards who settled there around 1000 (man, that was Charlemagne's era!).

One thing I just don't understand is why the traditional French knives don't have a kick to protect the edge from hitting the inside of the gutter when closed.

The French are very clever, practical people. They brought us the Mirage jet fighters, after all. One would think they'd include a kick on their blades.
