Another Laguiole from Virgilio Munoz, the scales are snake wood.

Question Will, if you please. I saw SCREEN PORCH display one on traditional thread. . Is yours the same with a blade delete?

Bob
No, it's a different version ,le tonneau (barrel) with only a single Sheepfoot blade, same frame . Some have corkscrews, saws, small secondary blades. Finish on these is a bit rough but assembly is very good and sturdy, no play or gaps, excellent in the hand feel and a good sized chopper Sheepfoot. Also in woods and horn.

Thanks, Will

Man something like this
In a cool wood scales would honestly be pretty awesome

Could I trouble one of you barrel/tonneau owners for a photo from the back to show the spring, thickness and shape of the handle? I've been window shopping these for a little while.

Thanks for any consideration!

I think this is the best I can do with photos I currently have:

The knives-of-france website has quite a few pics of each knife they sell, and that usually includes at least one from the perspective you requested.

Thanks Will. I received both the laguiole and the Belgian blue this morning as a present for Father's Day. It was a very thoughtful replacement for the treasured stag #73 that I lost earlier this year.

I am amused by the full disclosure stamped proudly and openly on the blade. No wondering about the origins of this knife!
