Traditional French Fry day

i also posted these pics of the mark hoping someone would recognize the maker. One with out a flash and the other with, the cool thing with the flash, it kind of made the writing of the initials appear more noticeable. Any idea of who or what company made it? Appreciate it.

Someone gave me some more information, it is made by Antoine Monteiro of Du Barry cutlery in Laguiole, France. Apparently he created the shop in 1988. The link that was provided to me did not work, but at least I have a name and a company. Anyone else maybe able to provide more info on the maker and the cutlery firm? Found a few pics that showed the shop.

I was answering you. In fact they revamped the Internet site and changed the address. Like many, they seem to ignore all what is outside Aveyron. 😟
He moved to new larger premises, a former might-club! There are 2 shops in the little village and the working force is only 4...

Thanks, much appreciated, I was hoping they were still in business. Nice to get some info about where my only Laguiole came from.

I love the look of the Capuchadou but carrying it proved impractical. Was most definitely a sheath folder and a fat sheath at that. Was a solid and beautiful knife but was just not an easy knife to grab and put to work. I've posted others that have proven to be much more user friendly and comfortable in the hand. YMMV - so I offer my 2¢ because you ask.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. That makes it an impractical edc. Too bad, because it's a looker.
