This is an old Tony Bose with a spent .357 ctg head and an even older .357 Magnum ordered by General L.F. Guerre to the Louisiana State Police when he was Director of CID.

Nice flattop. The shorter barrel on those Blackhawks have a great balance to them, especially with an aluminum frameI've been carrying the Case XX 65 pattern Folding Hunter a lot lately.

Thanks. Originally my gun had an XR3 grip frame, in blued steel. I replaced that with an XR3-RED sized grip frame in stainless.Nice flattop. The shorter barrel on those Blackhawks have a great balance to them, especially with an aluminum frame
I love the coloring on that Case as well. What do they call that handle material?
Ok, the two tone threw me off. I know there are some older Blackhawks out there that have an aluminum frame. My dad has some examples that I've put some rounds through. I didn't even think about it being stainless. Either way that is still a good looking piece. I bet that Case does look great in the sunlightThanks. The 6265 has "Brown Rosewood" scales. They aren't solid, but laminate. It is very pretty in the sun. When I got it, I chose between 6 I think in the store, and got the one that was the most symmetrical and cleanest example.
I can live with that! Marlin M1895 and Kent Sportsman. OHDid someone say 45-70???....![]()
Is that a Lipseys 44 Special flat-up? I notice it is a two-pin instead of three-screw. And those cartridges look a little short and fat.I've been carrying the Case XX 65 pattern Folding Hunter a lot lately.
