Does that 649 take .357s as well as .38s? That little guy could buck you off. I like it!

It was made in the 1980’s and made for .38 special only. Bucks enough if you put +P in it !

I have others if I want more power.

You are indeed correct. Maybe I should have put a Hammer Brand knife in the pic..................... or rotated the revolver.

Thank you my friend ! The hammer is there, but, right against the frame, so it doesn't tend to snag when pulled out of a pocket. I always shoot a revolver double action anyway ............. unless it is a single action only.

I’ve always wanted a Fitz Special pocket revolver and did consider having my Colt Cobra modified but I just couldn’t do it. I figure if it was good enough for Jack Ruby as is why mess with history.

If I’m not mistaken they refer to the 649 as having a “shrouded” hammer. It’s a dandy set up. We have one of the aluminum frame units, bought last year for the wife when she is out of the house.

One of my favorite weapons to shoot, when I want to go slow and easy. Is there any other way to go with a black powder revolver ?
Extremely accurate with a lot of smoke out the barrel makes it a pleasure.
