Traditional knives and records

Thanks. Plenty of their songs I did and do like.
Interesting article. Thanks, Gary.
You're welcome, Jer and Vince.
If you Google "american woman song meaning" you get several links describing the origin of the song, and the "facts" given are not all consistent with one another. My take is that although the song may have started as an on-stage jam with lyrics about differences between US and Canadian young women, by the time it was recorded, it definitely contained antiwar lyrics.

May be my favourite collection of musical recordings.

I found it interesting that after a discussion of Bob Dylan here was a small conversation about Charlie Daniels and his passing. Interesting in that Charlie Daniels played on several early Dylan albums.
I didn't know that. I knew Emmylou Harris sang some backgrounds on Desire. And of course, Dylan had The Band with him for awhile.

Sadly, I have given all my albums to an audiophile friend, and only have this on CD now. But I know every note! I'm a huge Little Feat fan, and one of my biggest regrets in life is not seeing them live before Lowell George died.
