This is the first I've heard of his passing, CDB is one of my favorites. My favorite song is Caballo Diablo, such vivid story telling in that song you can see it all unfolding in your mind. Another is Trudy, while he became very famous as a fiddle player he was a very gifted guitar player as well.

Yeah, his guitar playing on the songs Saddletramp and Billy the Kid is stellar, just to name a couple. He did so many good songs. Quite a legacy he leaves. Not bad for a Long Haired Country Boy.

I never bought any of their albums (the one I posted is my wife's), even though I really liked lots of their songs. These Eyes was great, as were No Time, No Sugar Tonight, Laughing, American Woman, Share the Land, Star Baby, Clap for the Wolfman, Hand Me Down World.

I never liked American Woman. They don't need our ghetto scenes, but they'll take our money.
