Yep. One of my sons gave it to me for Father's Day. He's been putting records out since 1962. This one was just released.Hey Vince, that artist would be Bob Dylan.![]()
I recently read that Dylan has had top 40 albums in 7 consecutive decades, with this latest one coming in at #2.Yep. One of my sons gave it to me for Father's Day. He's been putting records out since 1962. This one was just released.
They had such good stuff in the '60s. These Eyes was my favorite.
This is the first I've heard of his passing, CDB is one of my favorites. My favorite song is Caballo Diablo, such vivid story telling in that song you can see it all unfolding in your mind. Another is Trudy, while he became very famous as a fiddle player he was a very gifted guitar player as well.Charlie Daniels passed away yesterday. Saddletramp is a great album and I love the cover art.

Yeah, his guitar playing on the songs Saddletramp and Billy the Kid is stellar, just to name a couple. He did so many good songs. Quite a legacy he leaves. Not bad for a Long Haired Country Boy.This is the first I've heard of his passing, CDB is one of my favorites. R.I.P. Charlie
I never bought any of their albums (the one I posted is my wife's), even though I really liked lots of their songs. These Eyes was great, as were No Time, No Sugar Tonight, Laughing, American Woman, Share the Land, Star Baby, Clap for the Wolfman, Hand Me Down World. They had such good stuff in the '60s. These Eyes was my favorite.
Thanks! I thought you were posting something clever and "over my head"!Forgot the link to the music
Edited to fix
Still THAT bass line![]()
I leave the clever stuff in this thread to GTThanks! I thought you were posting something clever and "over my head"!![]()
I never liked American Woman. They don't need our ghetto scenes, but they'll take our money.I never bought any of their albums (the one I posted is my wife's), even though I really liked lots of their songs. If you're interested, here's an interview with the lyricist 50 years after that song hit #1, explaining what he intended the meaning of the song to be. (Of course, not all of our memories of 50 years ago are perfectly accurate.)I never liked American Woman. They don't need our ghetto scenes, but they'll take our money.
