Traditional Knives & Slingshots

I'd rather have a blow-gun! ;) Again, something that can be very easily made  I'm not sure if pea-shooters were banned along the way o_O

When I taught, I would show the kids how to use straws and spit balls. I also would buy them squirt guns in warm weather. They banned me from doing that my last year!!! So, plant misters came out...more water and stronger stream of water. Out did their politically correct attitude.

Good for you Bob! :D

I've heard of folks who won't let their kids play with toy guns, which is why I always make sure I have a few toy hand-grenades in! ;)

Yeah, must be, I'll have to get some. Worth thinking about, at least the others can be undone with a coin, but a lot need a Hex/Allen key

Considering that they caution us to not tighten the screws much at all, it seems like they might have gone with finger screws in the first place. But everything is obvious in hindsight.

I recently bought a set of three sets (metric, SAE, and star drive) of Allen wrenches because I haven't been able to find many of the ones I knew I had. Today I found six sets in one cubby-hole of my project desk in the basement.
So again I have plenty of Allen wrenches.

This thread crossed my mind a couple times recently. The blood tech's cart at the hospital had a bin of the tourniquets for blood draws and I wondered if they would make good bands. Did not liberate any cause I did not want problems. This morning at PT, I thought about how good new surgical tubing that is used for some exercises would be. Made me think of growing up and the simple things. A "Y" in a tree branch, some stretchy bands, a piece of leather and handful of small rocks could keep a young boy entertained for hours.

I reckon they could definitely be put to good use :) The first flat elastic used for slingshots is Theraband 😎👍

New wood slingshot and new bands for the fancy flat bander just arrived. 😁👍
I "think" I will wait until the Anti Maridian to shoot them. Pretty sure the garden eating chucks are holed up for the rest of the today.

I believe the Ulster scout/camp knife is appropriate. I and several others in my old BSA troop had both during metings and the occasional camp outs. 😇
