Traditional Knives & Slingshots

I went with the flip clips. This way I can't pull the tubes through the mounting slits and hurt myself that way.

I really don't know what the asymmetry gets you, especially since the honcho says some people shoot it backwards and it works just fine.
It's a nice, snappy shooter.

I thought, maybe the design aided in aiming or better finger support.

I still am tempted by the shape.

I've hardly used the ones I've got, so I just ordered another.

The whole Hammer system is being retired. You can still spend a lot on the whole set, but I got the LT- more my speed.

I got it in green, which will pair nicely with the green micarta on my ESEE 4.
Traditional knives are the whole raison d'etre of slingshots.

Axiom Champ. Almost as small as the secret experts only pickle fork, and less fussy. And comes with bands. Simple as the Fowler Sparrow, and less bulky. Innocuous-looking.
I was going to get a black one to match the bands, till I thought about being able to see the tie-tape against the frame.

[The Hammer LT is possibly affected by weather again. They'll probably put it on a helicopter to avoid the storm wrack.]
[[I'm glad I got the Scout LT before they switched to integral clips for the Scout LT 2, which don't have available thumbscrews.]]

That looks cool Jer, cool colour choice. It reminds me a bit of my first modern slingshot, the Wasp Uniphox. I do enjoy shooting simple slingshot designs, like the Sparrow. I have a pickle fork hanging up, but haven't put bands on it yet 👍

It's clever marketing on Simple Shot's part to be mysterious about the picklefork, but I really don't need to challenge myself to not get hurt with my own slingshot. I face that challenge walking across any room.
I'm pretty safe sitting down.

Yes Jer, and you know what my luck is like! :eek: Nicely-matched pair my friend :) :thumbsup:

I'm still mainly using this Leighton Catty's Spitfire in T6 alloy. I tried to pick up another yesterday, but they're not available currently :( Having said that, the synthetic models shoot just as well :thumbsup:

I have a shepherd's sling I made out of a couple of bootlaces and a bit of deerskin moccasin.
