Trappers

Very cool Anthony. No doubt that knife from Kerry is a keeper. I'm sure Colton will get years of service from it as well, when the time comes...

Seeing your pics got me to go and look at the serial # on mine. A2981.
I use to know what the "A" designation stood for, but like most things, I have forgotten.
The more I sit here and play with it, I think its due a little pocket time :D

Just a photo to throw in some Buck two blade same end trappers. Found in Brown Bone and Black Derlin. The smaller 312 found in a couple of variations. The larger is the 314.

I have a decent number of trapper patterns ranging from inexpensive to collectibles (sorry, no customs) but these four are my favorites...

We have, from left to right below A J.W. Knife Company Barehead Trapper in Stag that was made for the Southern Wiretwisters and on the right a Camillus with Carbon V Blades

Next on the left is one that gets a good bit of pocket time, a Case Slim Line in CV and on the right is an Old Timer Equestrian Trapper w/ hoof pick instead of a spey blade.

Another Buck trapper photo, the 311. In can be found in four versions. I have three.
Shown are the two commonly seen knives. The third is like the Buck,311,USA but has some nylon blade rests inside the blade well. The fourth version has a serrated spey blade which I don't have. Caution on all these long thin blade trappers they can have breakage issues at the pivot pin if too much side pressure is applied. Some worse than others. These are discontinued.

Here's one of mine that used to see alot of pocket time in the weeds, I left it with my cousin in Europe who is an avid hunter trapper, he killed and roasted a wild boar while we were back there for dinner one night, I ate wild boar liver and liked it, (I hate liver).

A pre bankrupcy Schrade Tennessee Trapper

Thats a beauty Vince, looks very classy with the CF:thumbup:

I have no custom trappers, but here's a few later 70's Stag(edit-just noticed 2 or 3 in pic not from 70's), and some Yellowhorse over runs from the club.

And my favorite...my Dads trapper.

Ken44, I really like your "chubby" Case stag! Here's a fatty of mine, a custom damascus.
