That's what I thought. I have given that one a good hard look, but my Wetterlings is about the same size. I figure that when I do finally get a Gransfors it'll be the Scandinavian Forest Axe.

Great looking Trio Nathan, loving the fall colors. I've had a Sage 1 in the past and ended up selling it because I've already had Sage 2 as a user. But had I had both knives to begin with, I would've chosen the 1 as I found the 1's scales to have a better grip - and possibly a little lighter.

Cdmayhem, I don't think you can go wrong with the Manix2 either. It's a little too big for urban EDC (in my opinion), the one I had with translucent blue scales was so light that I hardly noticed its size. Very comfortable contours on the handle too (for a folder that is).

straight grain ash, flame accented and finished with a touch of boiled linseed (from the mfr.); I use 100% pure tung oil myself but either will do

That is a solid working man's group you got there Will. I might have to check out a sandblasted handle pretty soon since a lot of people seem to like them. That hatchet looks like serious business too. Very nice!
