My trio for today: Bark River Kalahari Sportsman, Bushcrafter, and Barry Wood Mk1 folder
I am no expert on Barry Wood knives, but I have read that most of these knives had blades made from 440A. Not a super-steel by today's standards, but fairly common back then.
BH & Rob, I appreciate the nice comments on the Oreo BC. It's a dandy for sure.

It ain't Thursday, but here's my trio delivered today.
I'm not usually much into burls, but this one just spoke to me. It's like staring into a mesmerizing green lagoon of topographical map enchantedness. I can't stop looking!!
(Need to take some better pics because these are not doing it any justice.)

A Trio delivery is special indeed. The handle on the Carver looks like an aerial view over some tropical islands - very nice. The balance on your Woodsman looks perfect to me. You had a very good day Kris!

The way the curls in the wood seem to focus into the central pin of the trinity is hypnotizing.
No complaints on the Woodsman or the Machete either.....both are fine specimens in their own right.

Thanks Phil. It was a very good day. Even with getting caught on a conference call during the feeding frenzy, it was great to take collection of this trio.
Thanks Peter! You know I've been wondering since I saw this whether the trinity placement at the center of the rings was deliberate or chance. Either way, it is hypnotizing!

Honestly the carver was not even on my radar. This was a complete impulse buy. So I'll have to put this to work on some wood and see what I think.I know it's not Thursday, but I packed 'em on yesterday so that should count for something lol. Unfortunately my brother in law came down with something so our hunting trip was cancelled. Was really hoping to get a little deer hunting in while I was still on this side of the world. Ah well, maybe in another 2 years.
Oh man, mine isn't that nice lol. Its just a single shot, K3 Stutzen Mannlicher in 308. Honestly though, I got it because of it's size and weight. I'm a short guy, only 155 cm, so having a small and lightweight package was just what I was looking for.
